MINIと一緒に鎌倉で散歩

昨日はお休み、MINIに乗って鎌倉に出かけてきました。今回は浄智寺・浄光明寺と、稲村ケ崎海岸沿い、坂ノ下付近の古民家カフェを訪問です。気温はやや高めですがそれ程蒸し暑くなく、温い空気で日差しが弱かったので、窓を開けて走ったり散歩するのにちょうどいい1日でした。
浄智寺はアジサイが見頃を迎えていて、絵を描く人や観光の人が周辺にはたくさんいましたが、200円払って境内に入ると人の姿もまばらになり静かな空間が広がります。森が近いので鳥の声がいっぱいで、時間がここだけゆっくり流れているような錯覚を持ちました。浄光明寺はさらにマイナーな感じで、ボクが訪問した夕方には人影ひとつありません。桜やもみじの木がいっぱいあったので、季節になれば綺麗な景色を見ることができるんだろうなぁ。夏は蝉の鳴き声ですごいだろうなぁ。そんなことを考えながら座って空を眺めたり、あちこち撮影して歩いている内に時間が過ぎていきました。
鎌倉市内の道は狭く、あちこちで行き止まりだらけなのですが、車高を無駄に下げていないMINIは走破性抜群で、大きく波打った踏み切りも急な上り坂もお構いなしに走れるので快適です。150km/h前後の速度レンジに合わせてサスペンションをセットしているので街乗りでは硬さを感じますが、それは不快なものではなくしっかりダンピングが効いた上での硬さなので疲れません。
帰り道はいつものようにR134を江ノ島に向かって走り、藤沢を経由して国道1号線の原宿トンネルを通って横浜に向かって走ります。窓を開けると相変わらず波の音がいっぱいで、FMラジオ聴きながら多少の渋滞も気にせずのんびりドライブでした。
I had the day off yesterday and as usual I went out for a drive with my MINI to Kamakura. I went to Inamuragasaki Kaigan, Jyouchiji, Jyoukoumyouji, a Café at Sakanoshita. Temperature was a bit high but wasn’t too humid with worm air with bit of sunlight. Was just nice to drive with the windows down and for a walk.
At Jyouchiji hydrangea will welcome you. Many people were drawing pictures, tourist walking around. After paying 200yen to get in, it is quiet with not many people inside. There is a forest near by and you can hear the birds crying and makes you feel time passing by slowly. Jyoukoumuyoji is even more miner. Visiting at the late afternoon there wasn’t any people. If the season is write, there are many maple trees and cherry trees to enjoy the scenery. But I think during the summer it will be full cicada’s noise. Just having a slow afternoon looking at the skies and taking some photo’s here and there.
The roads in Kamakura a very small and many of the leading to a dead end. Since my MINI isn’t that lowered, I had no problem going through. No need worry about a steep hill, or a passing through rails. Since the damper is set up for a 150kn/h speed range and feels a bit stiff for town use but not a bad feeling because the damping is effecting properly and does not make you feel tired. If this was the orifice type damper, at a movement of 10mm the damping does not move and give you this soft feeling according to the springs. The ASM SRE damper at all situations the piston will move exactly with the damper to stick on the ground to stabilize. Maybe I will go with the S2000 for a drive with the same route.
the route back I took was the R134 towards Enoshima, passing through Fujisawa to Route 1 to Yokohama. Opening the window listening to the waves and listening to the radio and just enjoying the drive even though I was stuck in traffic.
