ASM SRE Dumper Kit 3way、テスト開始

ASM SRE Dumper Kit 3way for MINIの装着が完了しました。フロントはサブタンク位置に問題がありましたが、左右反転させて装着してみたところ何とかクリアランスを確保できたので写真と逆の位置にサブタンクがあります。細かい点は製品版までに修正すればいいので、このままテストに入ることにしました。リヤに関しては特に問題なく装着することができました。現状ではリフトで持ち上げることができればフロントBump／Rebound、リヤBumpは減衰調整が可能で、リヤReboundのみタイヤホイールを外して調整することになります。
フリーピストンを使う構造に変えたことでZEROと比較してコツコツと言う硬さが伝わってくるようになるので、それを減衰調整でどこまで抑えることができるのか、リヤアッパーマウントのピロボール化で異音がどれぐらい出るようになるのか、フロントの構造変更で履けるホイールにどれぐらいの余裕が出るのか、アルミ製サブランクとスチール製シリンダーの組み合わせによる共振音など異音は発生しないかなど、検証するべき項目はたくさんありますが、作る過程がすごく楽しいので、時間が許す限りMINIに乗って色々試してみようと思います。
今朝早速減衰を変更しました。
Front Bump Hi -1
Front Rebound +5min.
Rear Bump Hi -2
気になっていたコツコツ感はかなり解消しましたが、今度は車の余計な動きが気になり始めました。今日の夕方少し試乗してみて、リヤReboundやBump Low側も調整してみます。現状ではZEROの街乗り〜首都高を100点とすると68点ぐらい、ZEROの高速ワインディングを100点とすると85点ぐらいのデキでしょうか。ポン付けでこのレベルなのでこれから先がすごく楽しみになってきました。
そして恒例のASM KAROマットの定期交換を行いました。必ず1年に1回新品に入れ替えるようにしています。今回も白シザル＋赤Wステッチ＋I.S.DesignプレートのASM限定モデルを選択しました。インテリアの大きな面積を占めるパーツなので、リフレッシュの効果は絶大ですよ。何となく愛車のインテリアがくたびれて来た感じがするってオーナーさん、ぜひフロアマットの入れ替えをしてみてください。お薦めです。

Finished installing the ASM SRE Damper kit 3way for MINI today. for the front, there was a problem with the sub-tank position but flipping it horizontally for installation had clearance so comparing with the photo’s the sub-tank is on the other side. Detailed points can be fixing until the actual product is out so I decided to continue with the test. For the rear there wasn’t any problem installing it. but you will need a car lift to raise the car to adjust the bump/rebound and for the rear, the tires needs to be taken off to adjust.
Changing the structure to a free piston type, comparing with the ZERO there is this hard small bump feeling so I have to see how far I can adjust this with the damper. Changing the rear upper mount to see how much noise it will make, changing the front structure to see how much space there will be with the wheel, vibration and noise from the aluminum sub tank and the combination of the steel cylinder, there is many things to check but while doing this and figuring out is the fun part, so as long as I have the time I would like to try out as much as many things on my MINI.
The first thing I did this morning was adjust the damper
Front Bump Hi -1
Front Rebound +5min.
Rear Bump Hi -2
the small bumps which I felt disappeared but now there is too much extra movement on the car. I will test drive more later in the afternoon and try adjusting the Rebound and the Bump Low for the Rear. If the ZERO dampers are 100 during the high way and town use it’s about 68. On a high speed winding roads 85. Just by installing it has this level, so I am going to look forward adjusting it to 100 with this damper.
I have also changed the ASM KARO mats which I always changed to a new one once a year. It’s the same white sisal with the red doubled stitch and I.S.Design plate. It takes up a huge percentage with the interior and changing it new has a large effect. For those owner who things their interior has warned out, I recommend changing the mats.
