TODA POWER、始動

TODA RACING 2.35Lエンジン搭載が無事完了しました。搭載と同時にMIDLAND Competition 7.5W-40（エンジンオイル）、GRPオイル添加剤、NGK RACING8番（プラグ）を交換、アライメント調整をしています。ECUはG.T WORKS GENROM STDエンジン用をとりあえず装着しました。
+200ccの威力は予想以上です。3,000rpm前後のトルクアップがすごいですね。3速や4速でゆっくり加速しても、トルクの谷間や山を一切感じることはなさそうで、低回転域から放物線上に盛り上がるトルクカーブが印象的。ノーマルのAP2と比較すると、中間回転域のトルクを1段上乗せしてトルクカーブをフラットにし、さらにそのトルクカーブを全体的に上に振った感じでとても運転しやすいのが印象的です。
マフラーの音質も変化しています。今までは100Hz帯：200Hz帯：300Hz帯が2：5：3ぐらいで出ていたとすると、エンジン変更することで2：7：3になった感じ。合計数値が増えているのは音量が上がったと言うことです。倍音がより明確で、コンクリートの反射壁がある場所を通過すると、明確にコォォォンと言う鳴き音が聴こえます。今のままでも大丈夫そうだけど、念のためにASMで販売したTODA 2.35Lエンジン専用に調律したI.S.Designサイレンサーキットを用意することになりました。
We manage to finish installing the TODA RACING 2.35L engine without any problem. In the same time changing the engine oil to MIDLAND Competition 7.5w-40, GRP oil addition agent, changing the spark plugs to NGK RACING no.8 and re-doing the alignment. With the ECU we installed the G.T WORKS GENROM for STD engine for the moment.
The extra 200cc engine is more then I expected. Torque up from 3,000rpm you can still accelerate with 3rd or 4th gear till the top very smoothly. Compared with the normal AP2 engine, the mid rpm torque has more in one step with the torque curve flat and the toque curve pulled up which makes it easy to drive.
The sound quality of the exhaust is different as well. For example, around 100Hz: 200Hz: 300Hz was about 2:5:3 changing the engine makes it 2:7:3. The total no. increased because the volume has increased. Passing by a concrete wall its obvious you will be able to hear the screaming sound even more. I think it should be fine with the current one but we are going to prepare a I.S.Design silencer kit to match the TODA 2.35L engine just in case.
