ASMで大人気のTODA RACING軽量クランクプーリー。でも「他社製は5点セットなのに何故TODA製は3点セットなんですか？」と言う質問をよく耳にします。詳しくは分かりませんが、戸田レーシングさんとしては性能と価格のバランスが最もいいところで製品化したんじゃないでしょうか？でも軽量化と言う意味では確実に効果がありますし、高いか安いかはユーザーさんに決める権利がありますから、残り2点をASMからリリースしようってことで企画したのが、ASMオートテンショナー＆アイドルプーリーキットです。
設計・製造はもちろん戸田レーシングさんにお願いしました。素材は超々ジュラルミンA7075材を採用し、表面は硬質アルマイト処理をしています。材料費や加工の難しさなどコストを考えて材料を選定すると、もっと安くて柔らかい材料はいくらでもあるのですが、ベルトの摩擦でアルマイトが剥がれる→アルミがむき出しになってプーリーが削れる→ベルトが緩んで切れると言う最悪のトラブルが起きる可能性が、A7075＋硬質アルマイト処理した製品と比較して高くなりますので、当然考えうるベストチョイスを選択しています。2月中には製品をお届けできる予定です。
■ASM オートテンショナー＆アイドルプーリーキット 34,650円（2010年2月中旬発売予定）
One of the popular items at ASM, the TODA RACING light weight crank pulley. We have many questions about the kit from customer saying why is it in 3pcs set? And other after market has 5pcs. I don’t really know the exact answer for that but I think TODA RACING thinks with the price and the performance, they only made the product which is welled balance. By reducing weight it’s going to make big difference and with the price it’s up to the customer to think if it’s expensive or cheap. For the other 2pcs we are going to release from ASM. The ASM Autotensioner and Idle pulley kit.
With the design and production I have asked TODA RACING. Material will be Duralumin A7075 with the hard alumite on the surface. if you think about the material price and how difficult it is to make it there is much more cheaper way of doing it but with the belt’s friction rubbing the surface which will scrape the aluminum then the worst case scenario the belt will get loose and cut off. With the A7075 and the hard alumite surface compared to others it’s expansive but I think it will be the best choice out of all of them. It should be out in February.
