ASM S2000 1号車、18インチタイヤ投入

前回テスト終了時のセットダウンデータに基いたアライメント調整、コーナーウェイト調整、各種オイル交換、OHを終えたカーボンプロペラシャフトの装着、空冷式オイルクーラーからラジエター内蔵水冷式オイルクーラーへの接続変更、フロント・センター・リヤディフューザー装着、フロントスタビライザーを調整式に変更など、富士テストに向けて1号車のセットアップを進めています。
タイヤホイールは18インチ化を前提として17インチとの比較データ収集を行っていきます。ホイールはもちろんProdrive GC-07J、タイヤは255/35-18サイズのBS POTENZA RE-11です。18インチ化によるブレーキングとコーナーリングでの余裕がストレートにどれぐらいのメリットに繋がるのか、またタイヤグリップ増大に応じたサスセッティング変更によって空力性能がどれぐらい向上しているのか、楽しみな要素がたくさんあります。
次回テストで1号車のハンドルを握る加藤寛規選手が遊びに来ていました。今後の1号車の方向性として、あれも使わないこれも使わないと好き勝手を僕が言ったので表情が曇っていましたが、わが子の写真を見つけるとニコニコしてしまう父親ぶり全開でした。今シーズンはASM S2000 2台のセットアップをお願いします。
Data from last test, we re did the alignment, corner weight, changing all the oils, installing re-new carbon shafts, changing from air-cooled oil cooler to build-in water cooled oil cooler, front, center, and rear diffuser and changing to adjustable front stabilizer for Fuji.
Tires will be from 17inch to 18inch and we will be collecting data with the two different sizes. The rims will be off cause Prodrive GC-07J and the tire size will be 255/35-18 from BS POTENZA RE-11. We will be looking at how the 18inch will effect the brakes and how it will help on the straight after the corner, re-adjust the suspension set up for the improve grip from the tires and how it will effect the aero dynamics. I am looking forward for this test.
Hiroki Kato who will be testing car no.1 came to visit us at ASM today. We discuss about the directions of how will be testing the car. As I made lot of request, he was making this difficult face to me but as soon as he looks at the picture of his baby, he started smiling. He will be testing the two cars for this season.
