鎌倉で過ごす休日

休みの朝起きてみると、日差しがいっぱいの良い天気。「あ、そうだ。久しぶりに鎌倉にワッフルを食べに行こう♪」と急遽決定。早速赤いMINIに乗って出かけました。車で鎌倉に向かうのは5年ぶりぐらい？しかもナビが着いていない車なので大日本地図を開いて何となく方向を見定めて出発、超適当。しばらく走っていると松井さんから「今日定休日ですよね？店に居ますか？」と言う意味の分からないメールが届き、その後電話がかかってきました。「僕は鎌倉に向かっているので話したければどうぞ鎌倉で偶然会いましょう」と言う超上から目線の会話がありまして朝比奈峠で合流し、鶴岡八幡宮前を通過して目的地に到着しました。
今回訪問したのはmimiLotusと言う紅茶専門店です。昔藤沢で仕事をしていた頃によく行っていた紅茶屋さんから茶葉を仕入れて提供してくれるお店です。サイドメニューのワッフルとスコーンもすごく美味しいので、定期的に訪ねたいお店のひとつなんですよ。今回はイングリッシュミルクティと季節のフルーツのワッフルをオーダーしました。変わらない（変わる必要のない）味と空間が居心地よくて、気が付いたら2時間、松井さんと仕事や車やプライベートの話をして過ごしました。お店から出て話していると、いつも以上に話は尽きません。
名残惜しいですがここで松井さんとは別れて、海岸沿いを江ノ島に向かってソロドライブです。途中、何となく遠くから聞こえるのは波の音・・・？「さすが湘南、ラジオBGMも波の音か」と思いましたが、窓を開けてオーディオの電源を切ると、周りから波の音が包み込むように聴こえてきました。おぉ！すごい♪その後は江ノ電と一緒に窓を開けて波の音を聴きながらご機嫌でMINIを楽しみました。鎌倉の桜の蕾はまだ固いままでしたが、あと1ヶ月もすればピンク色に染まって来ることでしょう。鎌倉で過ごした休日は暖かくて、春がすぐそこまで来ていることを感じた1日でした。
When I woke up this morning, with the sunlight shining in from the window I though what a wonderful day for a drive with the red MINI. Since it was my day off, I thought having a waffle at Kamakura. I think it has been about five years from my last visit. Since the MINI doesn’t have a Navigation system, opening the map and roughly raying down the route in my head. After driving a while I got a message from Mr. Matsui asking me if I was at the shop which he knows ASM is close on Tuesdays. I told him I was on my way to Kamakura and I asked him to join me if he wanted to talk with me. As we met up at Asahina Touge, we reached our destination.
The shop we visited is called “mimiLotus” is specialized in tea. When I used to come here often when I used to work in Fujisawa. The waffle and scone are the best here. Is one of the shop I go regularly. I ordered English milk tea and season fruits waffle. Taste that never changes, comfortable space that makes you loose track of time. I have realized I was talking to Mr. Matsui for two hours, about work, cars and off work. I think we talk more then we where in ASM.
After our chat, I drove along the beach cost by my self-heading for Enoshima. After a while I started to hear the sound of the waves. I though since I was at Shounan, the radio’s BGM was the sound of the waves. After opening the window and the radio off, listening to the sound of the waves I was enjoying the drive with MINI. With the nice weather today makes you think spring is just around the corner and I can’t wait to see the Sakura trees.
