今日は埼玉のチャレンヂさんを訪問しました。先月から着手している新型リヤウィングの進捗確認が目的です。見ての通り、ウィングステーはASM筑波スペシャルやスーパーGT500でもお馴染みの形ですが、トランクを貫通してフレームに固定するわけではなく、このリヤウィング専用のカーボントランクに装着することになります。それ程発生するダウンフォースが桁違いだと考えてください。
また、今回用意するかどうか分かりませんが、1号車についてはトランクのわずかな歪も避けるために、トランク内側から車体の間を埋めるBOX状のステーを作る可能性もあります。上からウィング・ステー・トランク・ステー・シャーシと言う順で装着して筑波スペシャルやGTカーと同じ考え方のリヤウィングの考え方を取り入れるわけです。リヤウィングひとつでここまでこだわった製品はなかなかないと思います。
ウィング幅については1号車が実寸よりもやや狭く計測されて車検証に記載されているため、S2000＋I.S.Designリヤオーバーフェンダー装着時に最大で20mm程度の記載誤差が発生することを想定し、お客様毎にウィング幅を多少調整する余裕を持たせました。トランクセットであることと、作りが完全に一流レーシングカーと同等のレベルに達したことで価格もそれなりのものになりそうです。本数限定での販売になりますので製品概要の発表をお楽しみに。本製品は2009年1月以降の登録車への装着はできません。
I went to Challenge at Saitama to discuss about the new rear and its progress from last month. As you can see the wing stay like the ASM Tsukuba special or Super GT500 its and typical shape, but it will not go through the trunk and stabled to the frame but we are going to produce a enhanced trunk specially for this rear wing, which off cause it will be made from carbon fiber. Just take it as the down force produced from this is that different.
I am not sure yet but for car no.1 to reduce a strain free condition, we might put a box shaped stay between the car and the back of the trunk. So from the top, the rear wing, stay, trunk, stay then the chassis. Just like the Tsukuba special or a GT car way of installing it. I don’t think there is a product out there which has this much dwell on a rear wing.
For the width for the wing its self will be able to adjust slightly for each customer due to car no.1 width is a bit wider than width on the car registration paper. So there will be about 20mm of difference depending on the car with or without the I.S.Design Rear over fender. It is going to be a set with the trunk, the way of making this is the same way as a racing car level, the price is going to be expensive. It is going to be a limited production so look for word for the actual product when its done.
