昨日でASMヨコハマ チューニングセール2009年秋が終わりました。最終日閉店間際に先日I.S.Designサイレンサーキットを装着されたお客様がエキゾーストマニホールド04をお買い上げいただくなど、最後の最後までたくさんのS2000オーナーさんにご来店やご注文をいただき、とても嬉しく思います。今回のセールで大人気だったのは何と言ってもI.S.Designサイレンサーキット。ますます厳しくなる騒音計測に対応できつつ、ホンダらしい高周波音をドライバーに聴かせてくれるマフラーとして、お客様からの高いご支持をいただけました。また、性能だけでなくサイレンサーの音を最大限に良くする製品として、ASMエキゾーストマニホールド04/07の人気も急上昇です。今までは長く乗って行きたいAP2オーナーさんからのオーダーが多かったですが、今回のセールでは中古車でS2000を手に入れたお客様からのオーダーが多かったように思います。
その他ではやはりエアロパーツが人気でした。セールごとにひとつずつパーツを追加されていくお客様、欲しかったものをこの機会に一気に購入されるお客様など買い方・楽しみ方はそれぞれですが、共通しているのはフィッティングや表面仕上げレベルの高さと、見ていて飽きないオーソドックスだけど綺麗な面と線の組み合わせ・デザインに対する評価が高いことではないでしょうか。エアロパーツ＝改造と言う図式ではなく、純正クオリティのままのデザインチェンジを楽しんで、それが結果的に空力性能面でプラスになった、そんな感じです。さらに、GT補強バーの人気が最後に近づくにつれて盛り上がりました。純正＋無限＋ASMと言うパーツ構成で車をまとめたオーナーさんが多かったかな？性能だけではなく圧倒的に高い仕上げレベルに一目惚れするお客様がたくさんいらっしゃいました。
レカロシートではSP-JC ASM LIMITED・RS-G ASM LIMITED CLの人気が高かったです。両方に共通するのは本革（＋アルカンターラ）モデルであること。長く綺麗に使って行きたいと考えれば＋10万円の価格差は決して高くないことを、色々な車を見てきた僕らは知っています。そんなスタッフ達がシート選びのサポートをするわけですから、ここは多少無理してでも本革モデルを買って欲しいと願うのは当然ですよね。そして新製品RECARO SR-7 ASM LIMITEDも今回のセールでデビューして、スポーツシート人気ナンバーワンモデルに一気に浮上しました。既に10月入荷予定分まで売れ始めており、今後ますます人気上昇の予感です。
そして、セールと全く関係のないところで盛り上がっているのがMINIです。ASMがS2000をやり始めたのは僕がS2000に乗っていたから。乗って、色々買って、不満があったら作ってしまおう。そうすればS2000オーナーにとって違う考え方・選択肢を提供できるよね。趣味の延長数は売れなくていいし。そんなあり得ないほど適当な動機でモノを作り始めたのと同じように、MINIに乗って3年、変なものや売れないものをゴソゴソ作ってきましたが、それに共感してくれる変わった方々が遊びに来てくれるようになりました。
発売から2年が経過したSREダンパーキットZEROの上位モデルとして限定5セットのみリリースするASM SREダンパーキット3WAY、その価格126万円と言うあり得ない価格（レース界で同じ構成なら当たり前の価格ですが）ながら、発売開始前にも関わらず先週金曜日の夜にご注文をいただき完売しました。その他、新発売のASMレーシングPSタンク、ASMすっきりしたエアキャッチタンク、リヤ用ブレーキパッドZONE 89H、ASMステンレスメッシュブレーキホース、JCW GP純正リヤサスペンションアーム、ASM3段調整式リヤスタビライザー、Prodrive GC-014i、AP RACINGブレーキキット、AP RACINGドライブリードなど、大よそのMINIオーナーが見向きもしないであろうASMっぽい製品をお買い求めいただきました。今はS-GT300やF3のエンジンサプライヤーとして誰もが知る戸田レーシングさんにお願いして、R53MINI（後期）用ビッグスロットルを試作しています。しかもただ口径を広げるだけではなく、S2000用に採用したレースエンジン屋ならではのこだわった内部形状になる予定。まだまだMINIで楽しみますよ。
そんな感じで、自動車生活をいっぱい楽しんでいるお客様にご来店いただき、毎日とても楽しく過ごすことができました。10〜11月にはS2000・MINI・Z33のメンテナンス関連メニューをやる他、レカロシート関係ではレカロ社がカタログモデルを対象にベースフレーム無料キャンペーンを開催します。季節が良くなってきました。秋の横浜にぜひ遊びに来て下さい。
The ASM Yokohama Tuning sale autumn 2009 has finally finished yesterday. On the last day just before closing, one customer who purchased the I.S.Design Silencer kit came to purchase the exhaust manifold 04. Up till the end we had many S2000 owner came to visit us and purchased our products. One particular item which was popular with the sales we had this time was the I.S.Design Silencer kit. With the regulations getting stricter, the product still passes the noise test and gives out a high frequency sound of a typical Honda car. Which I am sure it will keep it popularity with the customers. Not only improving the performance but helping the sound quality to its limit, the ASM exhaust manifold 04/07 was also very popular. It was popular with AP2 owners who are planning to keep the car for a long time but, with this sales we had, I think those S2000 owners who purchased the car second hand was more.
Other popular items were the ASM body kits. Some of them who add one part each sale we have through out the year, some the full body kit at once. There are many ways of buying and enjoying it. What I can say for all of this are the fitment quality and the surface finish level are very high. Body kits=modification for many, but for us, keeping the genuine quality but just enjoy the different design, which the result came out with improved aero performance. With the GT enhance bars, towards the end the popularity increased. I think was popular with those cars who done their cars with Mugen, ASM, and genuine parts. Not just only with the performance but many of them was impressed with the finished quality.
With the RECARO seats, the SP-JC ASM LIMITED, RS-G ASM LIMITED CL was very popular. What these two items has common is the lather finish (plus Alcantara). If you are thinking of using it for a long run, even though it costs extra 100,000yen, we know that it’s not a expensive item. We can say this after looking at many cars everyday (coming to ASM) with the RECARO seats installed. Since our stuff is her to support your choice of seats, off cause we will recommend the lather models as much as we can. The new RECARO SR-7 ASM LIMITED had it debut during this tuning sale. It has become the most popular sports type seats in once. We do not have any at stock at the moment and the stocks which are planning to come in October are also running out. This is one model which popularity will increase for sure.
One other thing which was getting exciting which has nothing to do with the sales was MINI. The reason why ASM started doing S2000 was because I my self was personally driving it. Driving it, installing all sorts of parts in the end I was not satisfied so I started making my own.
and I was thinking it didn’t matter if I can sell it or not, after all it started of as a hobby and just wanted to give other S2000 owners ideas and choices. With this kind of non serious reason and the same reason with MINI, after three years, I have made many items which can’t sell or funny items for the car and few who shares or has interest in the items started to come to ASM.
After two years since the SRE Damper kit ZERO has been out and we are going to re-lease a higher level damper which only five sets will be produced. The ASM SRE Damper kit 3WAY. The price is 1,260,000yen which is a bit ridicules but having a same spec as a racing car and been actually used on a racing car this price is normal. Even though the actual item is not out, the last set was sold last Friday night. Other items this customer purchased was the new ASM Racing PS tank, ASM Air-Catch Tank, brake pad for the rear ZONE 89H, ASM Stainless mesh brake horse, JCW GP genuine suspension arm, ASM 3step adjustable rear stabilizer, Prodrive, GC014i, AP RACING brake kit and AP RACING Dry pre rod. Which most MINI owner will not do in the beginning but I have asked him to purchase our ASM products. And now I am asking TODA RACING which is the engine supplier of S-GT300 and F3 to make a prototype model of big throttle for the R53 MINI (late model). Not just enlarging the entry but just like the S2000 big throttle, the inner shape design, it will be which a race engine producer will think. I am still thinking of enjoy with MINI.
Thanks to these kinds of customers who are having and enjoying their car life with ASM, everyday has been a pleasure. From October to November we are planning to prepare a maintenance menu for S2000, MINI and Z33. For the RECARO seats, seats from the RECARO catalog will come with a free base frame. The weather is becoming more comfortable. Please come to Yokohama to experience the autumn weather.
