MINIに乗って秋の鎌倉に行ってきました

11月初旬並みの気温だった昨日、雨の鎌倉へ行って来ました。
夏以来久しぶりのドライブです。
ずっと行きたかったお寺に行って車を停めて写真を撮ったのですが、そこはとても静かで時間の流れが街の中にいる時よりゆっくり流れている感覚でいっぱいです。「しとしと」と言う擬音が似合う雨の音、色々な鳥のさえずり、カラスの鳴き声、水路を流れる水の音、森の奥から修行しているお坊さんが唱えるお経の合唱、それ以外の音は何もなくて、寝る時に聞こえてくる無音の音みたいなものまで聞こえてくるほどの静かさです。階段を登って境内に入ってもそこに人は誰もいません。写真を撮ったり本堂に座ってボーっとしたり住人の猫の写真を撮ったりして過ごしました。今の時期の晴れた日に来たら気持ちいいかもしれません。
昼ご飯はmimiLotusでワッフルと紅茶って思っていたけど、残念ながら昨日は臨時休業。ふと思い出してわらび餅屋さんに行くことにしました。鎌倉駅から御成商店街を抜けて長谷方面に少し歩いた場所にあるこじんまりしたお店です。メニューはわらび餅・蜜豆・ところてんの3種類だけ。わらび餅はすごく歯ごたえがあって美味しかったです。お寺に続いてここも貸切、しかも価格はお茶がついて525円、すごく得した気分です。
横横道路、朝比奈峠、鎌倉の狭い道をMINIでいっぱいドライブできて、楽しい休日でした。
The weather yesterday was like in November. It has been a while but I when out for a drive with my MINI. It was raining but I went to Kamakura and I think the last time I came was during the hot summer.
There was one temple that I wanted to go to park my car and take a photo. This place is very quiet, the time passes by very slow compared with the city. You will be able to hear all kinds of nature’s sound. The sound of rain, birds, water running down the sewer, you can hear the monks chanting deep inside the forest and nothing else. It’s so quiet that you will start to hear your own heart beat. After climbing the steps you will be able to go in the temple. No body is there. I took a few photos, set down at the main hall, took more photos of the cats that lived there. If the weather was much better I am sure it will feel even better.
For lunch, I was planning to have a waffle and tea at mimiLotus but it was closed. So I decided to go to have a rice cake instead. The place is near by Kamakura station, a little walk through the local shopping street. I had three different rice cakes which were very delicious and no one was here as well. Three type of rice cake and comes with a tea for 525yen.
Testing the SRE 3WAY on the MINI while driving through thigh roads like this was fun and was a nice day off for me.
