SACLAM POWER、封印解除

TODA RACING製ビッグスロットルを赤いMINIに装着しました。
入口側・出口側共にMINI用としては最大クラスの口径なのに加えて、逆R形状を採用した効果は絶大です。低速域からスムーズにトルクが立ち上がり、高回転域ではSACLAMエキゾーストマニホールド交換に匹敵するようなパワー感。今まで吸排気＋SACLAMエンジンヘッドで全体をレベルアップさせるようなチューニングに拘ってきましたが、唯一「封印」状態になっていたノーマル口径のスロットルボディを大型化することで、チューニングエンジンが本来持っているパフォーマンスを発揮するようになりました。
装着直後は吸入空気量の増大によりアイドリングがばらついていましたが、しばらく放置すると安定します。低いギヤで高回転まで引っ張ったり、低速から高いギヤで意地悪な加速をしたり、色々なシチュエーションで使っていますが特に不具合はありません。むしろトルクアップによる恩恵を様々な場面で感じます。日本屈指のレースエンジン屋さんが手がけるMINI用エンジンパーツ第一弾、これから人気が出ること間違いなしの自信作です。

I installed the TODA RACING Big Throttle to my red MINI today.
The entrance and the exit has the biggest size for MINI with the shape makes the pick up of the car very smooth from low speed with a additional torque, at higher rpm you will feel the exact same difference with just changing the exhaust manifold. With the intake and exhaust with the SACLAM engine head, increasing the level over all but with the larger throttle now, I can experience the actual performance of the tuned engine.
After installing it, the idling was unstable due to the larger suction of air but after a while it was stable. I was trying out at all kinds of situation like, put in low gear and pulling it all the way up, low speed and changing to high gear but there isn’t any problem with it. With the torque up it’s more drivable. a Japanese race engineer produce engine parts for MINI, I am sure it’s a parts which is going to be popular.
