最近ASMで話題のMiniオーナーさんがご来店されました。愛用のGULF社製CLASSIC MINI専用オイルを20Lまとめ買いです。気になる車なので色々詳しく話を聞いているのですが・・・さすが毎日この車に乗っていると武勇伝が多いですね（汗）。予想以上のハードルの高さに言葉が出ません。まぁ機械ですから壊れないわけありませんし、壊れる頻度を少なくしたければ新型の新車を買うしかないです。ご先祖様を手に入れるなら、まさに趣味として車と接することができる心がないと無理なんでしょうね。ちなみにこちらのオーナーさんは革職人です。作品のセンスがいいので気に入ってしまい、ASMとしても色々と製作をお願いしています。
まずは財布。カードホルダーをたくさん持たせながらもカード同士が接しないようにしてカード表面の傷みを抑えます。チャック付ポケットも付属しているので小銭入れとしても使えますが、変形するので使わずに飾りと考えてもらった方がいいでしょう。チャックの金具部分はシルバーで新規製作、良質な革を使って、縫製も職人の手作業なので価格もそれなりのものになります。MINI乗りのお客さんで革製品製作が本職の人がいますから厳しい目で見て採点してもらいましょう。個数限定、しかも全て色や材料の組み合わせが違うので2つと同じモノはありません。
この他にもSONYポータブルナビ NAV-U3専用ケースも企画中。こちらは本皮だけじゃなくて別の材料も組み合わせて便利さ、デザインをバランスしたつける喜びを感じられるケースになります。さらにこれは僕個人の趣味ですが、カメラバッグを作ってもらっています。外は本革製、中には衝撃吸収材としてレカロシートのランバーサポート用ウレタンを贅沢に使用し、アルカンターラで仕上げます。財布の入荷は2月中旬頃、NAV-U3専用ケースの試作品は2月初旬頃の予定となっています。お楽しみに！・・・と言う僕が1番楽しみにしています。
Recently At ASM we talk a lot about this Mini owner. He always uses CLASSIC MINI Oil from GULF. He bought 20L. I my self-have a bit of interest with the old Mini and I was asking all kinds of things about the car. As I was listening with the episodes, which he had with the car, seems a bit difficult for me as an everyday car. After all, it is a machine and no machine wont have problems but if you want less problems just buy a new one. If you are thinking of purchasing a car like this, you need to have a heart which you can treat this car as a hobby. The other thing about this owner, he is a lather artist and I like his work. I am also thinking of asking him to make all kinds of items for ASM.
A wallet to start of first, lots of cardholders for credit cards and off cause to make sure the surface of the cards doesn’t get scratches. There will be a pocket with a zipper, which you can use it to put coins but to maintain the shape of the wallet, just think of that as a decoration.
The zipper it self will be in silver, will be using a good quality leather and it will be hand made so the price might cost a bit.
There is another customer that drives the current MINI and also sort of an artist with lather, I just might ask him to check the finished product. It’s going to be a limited quantity and you will be able to choose the material and the color combination so it’s going to be one in the world.
I am also thinking of making a case for the SONY portable GPS. For this, I am thinking of not only lather but other materials, conveniences and to balance with the design.
Other things I am asking him to make for me personally is a camera bag which uses lather on the outside, alcantara on the inside. The cushion inside is the same from the RECARO seats.
Wallet should be out mid February and the prototype for the NAV-U3casing should be out beginning of February. I am looking for word to see the actual product.
