I.S.Designフロントエアロバンパー

ASM筑波スペシャル2004
で投入して、市販車ベースのチューニングカーにも空力性能が重要であることをいち早く証明したエアロパーツです。デザインは発売開始以来5年経過した今でも古さを全く感じさせないもので、当時感じた完成度は本物だったんだなぁと改めて実感します。片側25mmワイド化するフェンダーに合わせつつも、フルノーマル車両に組み合わせてもアンバランスになっていない。バランスが取れたノーマル＋αの性能を表現した形状だからこそ可能なことです。
これは、ボンネット・フロントフェンダー・サイドスポイラー・リヤオーバーフェンダー・リヤバンパー・リヤウィングなど他の部位にも共通した考え方です。あくまで大切にしたいのは「S2000であること」。ASMのエアロを装着するとS2000じゃなくなってしまうってことになると、いくらデザインや性能が良くてもユーザーさんがそれを望むとは思えません。あくまでベースはスタンダードなS2000で、装着した個々のパーツが確実に性能を発揮することが大切。I.S.Designフロントエアロバンパーはそんなコンセプトの元に作られた空力パーツの代表格です。

After using it on the ASM Tsukuba Special 2004, even on a production tuned car shows that aero dynamics was important and was proven then. After five years with the design, it doesn’t feel old at all and gave me confident the design finish was a real thing. Installing it with the wide fender or the normal fender it shows without any unbalance look. It is well balance because it’s a design with performance ＋α.
This goes the same for the bonnet, front fenders, side spoilers, rear over fender, rear bumper rear wing any many more of the parts. The important part is that it has to be a S2000. even though installing the ASM body kits it still looks like a S2000. even thought the design and performance is good. It doesn’t mean users want the same thing. The base will still stay the same as a S2000 with the extra parts doing its performance properly is important. The I.S.Design front aero bumper was produced with this concept.
