今週末7/4（土）〜5（日）、スーパーオートバックス名古屋ベイで開催するASM×レカロフェアに、SACLAMマフラーを装着したASM Z33とI.S.Designサイレンサーキットを装着したASM S2000 3号車をスタッフが持っていきます。それに合わせてS2000のメンテナンスをいくつか実施しました。
・エンジンオイル交換 MIDLAND Competition 15W-60
高回転、高負荷、長時間連続走行、常時スリップ付き。とても過酷な条件で走っている3号車はお客様の預かり車両なので、壊さないための提案として真夏〜晩秋はこっちのオイルをお薦めしています。安心感のレベルが段違いです。
・ミッションオイル交換 MIDLAND 90R
純正でも必要十分な部分ですが、エンジンオイル同様にスポーツ走行に重きを置いてこのオイルをお薦めしています。連続高速走行をした時のシフトフィールがすごくいいし、冷間時の渋さもほとんど気になりません。
・デフオイル交換 Castrol Pure Racing SAF-XJ 75W-140
DREXLER LSD指定オイルです。浸透性や耐久性のバランスがすごくいいオイルで、純正トルセンLSDに使用するのも熱対策としてすごく有効でしょう。僕のMINIやプジョー306もMTFとしても使っていますが、シフトフィールも自然です。
・サスペンション変更＆アライメント調整
ASM サマーセール2009でご紹介しているKW Damper Kit Version-3を体感してもらえるように、サスキットをSRE 3wayからKWに入れ替えました。とにかく高速長距離ツーリングが快適なサスなので、興味があるS2000オーナーさんはぜひ助手席試乗してみてください。今週末はSA名古屋ベイ、それ以外は横浜で試乗できます。
外したSRE 3way Damperはこの機会を使って仕様変更します。数ヶ月前、リヤダンパーのRebound／Lowスピードの減衰を製品版よりホンの数％柔らかくしました。結果的に思った方向の性格に変わったのですが、やや変化量が多かったため、仕様変更前と仕様変更後の中間を狙ったセッティングに挑戦します。ダンパーの性格を決めるピストンスピードLow領域でここまで細かく理想を終えるのがSRE Damper、オリフィス式だと物理的に無理な領域です。アライメント調整もしました。タイヤの偏磨耗も防げるし走って気持ちいいし、クルマのためにもオイル交換毎ぐらいの頻度で作業してもいいメニューですよ。
There will be a event ASM×RECARO fair at Super Autobacs Nagoya Bay this weekend from July4th to July 5th. Our ASM Z33 with the SACLAM Silencer kit, ASM S2000 car no.3 and our ASM stuff will be waiting for you. With that we have changed a few things on our car no.3.
Engine oil change. MIDLAND Competition 15W-60
Running with high revolution, high load, constant long drive and its been use and driven in very hard conditions. Our car no.3 is actually a customer car so we cannot afford to brake this car and so for the hot summer until autumn we recommend using this oil. Sense of reassurance is completely different.
Changing transmition oil to MIDLAND 90R
It is more than enough with the genuine oil, but same with the engine oil for a sports run we recommend this oil.
Deferential oil change Castrol Pure Racing SAF-XJ 75W-140
this oil is specified oil for the DREXLER LSD. It has the balance of systemic and endurance and can be use on genuine LSD for heat resistance. I am also using it on my MINI and the Peugeot 306 as a MTF and it has a natural feeling.
Changing Damper and alignment
To experience the KW Damper Kit Version-3 for the ASM Summer Sale 2009 which we are going to have. From SRE 3way to KW. This damper is has the comfort for high speed touring and so for those S2000 owner interested, we have the car prepared to experience it. This weekend will be at Super Autobacs Nagoya Bay and for those other days at ASM Yokohama.
The SRE 3way damper, which we removed from the car, will be having changes of specification. Few months ago, we had the rear damper Rebound and Low speed a few % softer than the production model. It the way I wanted to be but the amount of changes were a bit many. So we are going for the set up in-between. With the character of the damper, which can adjust the piston, speed low this much detailed is the SRE damper’s orifice model only.

HYPERCOスプリングへの交換でご来店いただきました。同時に車高調整作業も行ったため単純な乗り心地の比較はできませんが、HYPERCOにすることで初期のツッパリ感が消えてしなやかな乗り心地になりますからオーナーさんが目指している「ストリートで快適なクルマ」作りにマッチした製品だと思います。あとはトーションビームの交換をして足回りはひと段落、その後はレカロシート、SACLAMサイレンサーキット、ZONEブレーキパッドあたりがお薦めのメニューとなります。何か気になることがあればぜひご相談下さい。
そしてHYPERCOと言えばパッケージ変更が原因で妙な都市伝説が生まれたそうです。僕は収納性が良くなって助かったとか考えていた程度なのですが。何でもそうですが、有名になると色々あって大変です（汗）。販売側の人間にも「本物」と「偽物」を見分ける目、正しい情報を集めるネットワークや人間関係、たくさんの物を見る経験値が必要ってことでしょう。また近々、ミノルさんのSWIFTをレンタルしたいなぁ。
This customer came to ASM to change the springs to HYPERCO. In the same time, we did the height adjust. It’s a bit difficult to compare with the original but changing to HYPERCO, the early phase of the bumps should feel much more smoother. Which I think it should be just nice for the owner, which he is trying to make a car, which is for street comfort. I think the next step would be the toe-tion beam, than RECARO seats, SACLAM Silencer Kit; ZONE brake pad would be recommendable. If there is anything else please ask us.
Speaking of HYPERCO, the package design of the box has changed. I touch was easy to store and was useful but like many, becoming famous is difficult due to the fake items coming out. It is important to have people, which can see the difference of real thing or fake, proper information and connection with the right people. I am thinking of rent the SIFT again from Minoru-san.

散歩がてらテクテク歩いてASMにお立ち寄りになり、以前から気になっていたASM SREダンパーキット1WAYを装着していただきました。比較されたのはオリフィス式ダンパーのOHLINS DFVダンパーキットでしたが、ザックス式ダンパーとオリフィス式ダンパーで車の動きがどう変わるかを説明してザックスを選択していただくことができました。同じように「フラットな乗り心地」と表現される2つのダンパーですが、実はやっていることは真逆です。それぞれが何を目的に製作されているのかを考えれば、どちらが本当に自分の希望している製品なのか分かりますよ。どちらも在庫があって即日作業OKでしたのでお客様も驚いていましたが、どちらかをやるって決めて突然ご来店→そのままオーダーと言うことで僕らもビックリしました。
同時作業で遅延機構カット済みクラッチレリーズ、ASMステンレスメッシュクラッチホースの交換とアライメント調整作業も行いました。クラッチ周辺はこの2つのメニューを施工することで、自然でスムーズなクラッチフィーリングになりますのでAP1-130型以降のS2000には全部施工したいぐらいのお薦めメニューです。アライメント調整はサスペンションブッシュ類を全て緩めた状態で車をゆっくりと走行させてブッシュのねじれを取ってから締め、その後アライメント調整をすることでダンパーやスプリングの動きをブッシュが邪魔しないようにしています。車高は純正-20mmを基本に調整、下げる量を最小限にして街乗り時にできるだけ支障が出ないようにしました。ぜひまた感想を聞かせて下さい。

This customer just drops by ASM today to install the ASM SRE Damper kit 1WAY. Comparing with the Orifice type damper like the OHLINS DFV Damper kit with the SACHS type damper, explaining the difference with how the car reacts and moves and I recommend him to choose SACHS for what he required. Both of them have this flat ride feeling but the way of approach is completely different. If you know what is the intention of each damper and character you will know which will match you. We had both in stock and can be installed on the same day. Which this customer was a bit surprised. And so we installed it today. all in the same day.
While doing this, retardation mechanism cut clutch release, ASM stainless mesh clutch horse and alignment in the same time. Doing this two menu for the clutch, this improves a natural smooth clutch feeling which I would like to do it on all models of AP1-130 and after models. For the alignment, we move the car slowly while the bush for the suspensions are loose and make sure that the tort ion of the bush are removed than we tighten it, then the alignment so that the damper and the springs does not get in the way. Basically adjust the height -20mm from normal. So that it does not affect normal town use that much. I will be waiting for his impression.

KW、欧州レース＆チューニング界有数のダンパーメーカー

FD2シビックType-R用サスキットを装着しました。装着作業を終えた後確認走行に同行したのですが、前回戸田レーシングさんのデモカーを運転した時と違って今回は助手席に敢えて座り乗り心地を確認します。減衰は全12段調整の7段にアジャストしました。
綺麗な路面では硬さも柔らかさも感じません、ちょうどいい感じです。ややフロントのピッチングが気になりますが、これは純正ダンパーでも同様の症状が出ているので想定の範囲内です。路面がうねってダンパーが大きく速くストロークする場面では動き始めがやや硬く多少跳ねる印象がありますが、そこから大きくストロークをすると柔らかくなる感じがします。コンクリート舗装の荒れた路面でもちゃんと脚が動いて乗り心地とトラクション性能のバランスが結構いいなぁと感じました。これはサーキットだけじゃなくて街でも相当走り込んでセッティングされていると思います。
S2000用については、構造上の問題でASM SREダンパーキットしか実現できないフラットなフィーリングが存在しているのでボクの中で結論が出ていますが、SREの設定がないFD2シビックType-Rについてはベストチョイスのひとつかもしれません。

We installed a suspension kit on Civic Type-R FD2. After installment, we went for a test drive and comparing with the test drive I did at TODA RACING before, I was on the passenger sit. With 12 steps of decay and adjust it to 7th.
On a smooth road surface, you will not feel any hardness of softness. Just nice. A bit concerned me was the front pitching, but this was the same with the genuine damper so was within the limit. On a rough and twisty road, the damper move big a fast stroke, and the beginning feels a bit hard and a bit jumpy. Then from there when it move largely with the stroke, feels soft. Even on a rough concrete surface, it moves well, comfort and traction performance a good. Not only on the track but they have driven this on the street a lot to get this set up.
for the S2000, due to the mechanism, the ASM SRE Damper kit is the only item which provides the flat feeling inside of me and I have conclude it but for the Civic Type-R FD2 there isn’t a SRE setting and I think is the best choice at the moment.

戸田レーシングは日本有数のレースエンジンコンストラクターであり、ASM筑波スペシャルや1号車のエンジン供給をはじめF20C用エンジンパーツの開発やエキゾーストマニホールドの開発・改良をタイムアタックエンジン開発時に行うなど、ASMにとって本当に信頼できるメーカーのひとつです。最近では軽量クランクプーリーやフライホイールをお薦めして、大変好評をいただいています。
そのTODA RACINGブランドでサスペンションキットがリリースされていることをご存知でしょうか？聞いたことや見たことがあっても使ったことがなかったり、現物を見る機会がないから記憶に残っていなかったりするかもしれません。でもこのサスキットの実力はなかなかのものだと思います。実際自社のF3マシンのダンパーに採用しているので、エンジンと同じレベルで内製化しているから、「ここで製品化する」とジャッジできるのが戸田レーシングさん自身であると言うことが最大の魅力でしょう。
ASMではアネブルさんに依頼してFD2用のSREダンパーの開発を進めていました。現状S2000用と同じレーシングダンパーであれば製作して販売できる段階まで来たのですが、やはりネックになるのは価格です。それなら、と言うことで同じSREでもローコストなパフォーマンスコイルオーバーキットをベースにしたモデルを開発しようかと言う時に戸田レーシング シビックType-Rに乗ったところ、ストリートカー＋と言うレベルではベストじゃないかと思える乗り心地のしなやかさと確かなトラクション性能を実現していました。
「ここまで完璧に仕上がっているならわざわざFD2用SREを開発するのは止めよう」と言う結論を納得して自分の中で出して、4月からFD2用FIGHTEXダンパーキットの取り扱いをスタートしています。写真のものは4/29に装着予定。この他、FD2用とS2000用の在庫が各1セットありますので興味のある方はぜひASMにご来店下さい。TODA RACING S-GT300ビーマック用エンジンがお出迎えしてくれます。

TODA RACING FIGTEX DAMPER
TODA RACING is one of few which is a race engine constructor in Japan and which provided us with our ASM Tsukuba Special (car no.2), ASM S2000 Car No.1, produces engine parts for F20C, exhaust manifold, improved engines for time attack when its developing. Is one manufacture, which ASM can trust. Recently, they have produced the lightweight crank pulley and fly-wheel which is getting popular.
Did you also know that TODA RACING also re-lease suspension kit? May be you have heard of it or saw it but never used it or haven’t had the chance to see the actual item and don’t remember. I think the potential of this suspension kit is very high. They actually use it on they own F3 machines. The quality level is the same as the engine to self-manufacture, which they have decided to put it in to productization with confidence.
At ASM we have asked Enable to produce a SRE dumper for FD2. At the moment, if it’s the same racing damper like the S2000, its ready to sell out but the problem is the price. So we were thinking of doing it with based on a performance coil over kit for SRE for low-cost. But TODA RACING already produced a damper for the Civic Type R and which has the performance of a street car +α which is also the best for traction and ride quality.
If there is a damper for the FD2, which has this performance, I have decided not to make from SRE. So starting from April we will start providing FIGHTEX damper kit for FD2. The item on the picture will be installed on April 29th. We have another set for FD2 and one for S2000 so if you are interested, come visit us at ASM. 先日ご予約いただいたASM SREダンパーキットを装着しました。1WAYは伸び側のみ変化して縮み側の減衰を調整できないので、サーキット合わせの減衰だと街乗りではかなりの固さを感じます。固さの中にも細かく路面に追従していくのがSREの良さですが、絶対的に固いものはどうしようもありません。2WAY・3WAYの設定ができ、1WAYは高速ツーリング〜ワインディングに重点を置き、ストリートとサーキットもカバーするようなセッティングに特化することができているので、今後様々な場面でSRE＋HYPERCOの魅力を感じていただけることでしょう。
レカロ Blogに掲載していますが、シートは電動リクライナー＋シートヒーター付きのSP-JC ASM LIMITEDを装着しました。車内が狭いS2000では細かなポジション調整に電動リクライナー機能は非常に便利です。オープンカーですからシートヒーターも大活躍。特に女性が運転したり助手席に乗ったりする場合は、体が直接温かくなるシートヒーターは必須ですよ。直射日光で表皮温度が上がることを軽減するクールレザーを採用しているので夏場のシート温度の上昇も最低限度で済みます。

We have installed the ASM SRE Damper Kit today which we had reservation the other day. For the 1way, damper for the expend could be adjustable. If you adjust it for the track, you feel a bit stiff for the streets. Even though is stiff, you can actually feel the damper moving delicately against the surface and that’s the good thing about the SRE. But the actual stiffness can’t be done about it. For the 2way, 3way it can be adjust and set up in detail. For the 1way, its set up mainly for high-speed touring and winding streets, which covers street and circuit. In the future you can feel the fascination of SRE with HYPERCO at different situation.
Its on the RECARO blog as well, the seats are SP-JC ASM LIMITED which can be reclined electrically for adjustment and it has seat heater build in which also helps with convertible cars like the S2000. It’s also popular with the ladies, to help them keep worm. Even in the summer even though the sunlight hits the seat directly, its uses cool lather so the seat it self doesn’t get that hot.

Best for Winding Roads, Aragosta ASM Version
Most usage is for the street but driving a sports car you would want to have a shocks that has some sports performance that is also comfy. As this S2000 owner requested, we gave him the option of KW, OHLINS, ARAGOSTA, SRE and he chose the ARAGOSTA suspension kit which has high sports performance for its price. The springs he chose was HYPERCO 12.5kg/mm for the front and HYPERCO 10.7kg/mm with helper springs for the rear.
We have done the set up with just simple bolt on reinforced bars on S2000 at Fuji, Suzuka, Mogi with ARTA GT driver help us with the set up. If you are thinking of an orifis dumper beside SRE we have confidence and recommend. For the front, adjustable 1WAY, for the rear 2WAY.
