昨日一昨日の2日間で、エンジンの載せ替えとアライメント調整やクラッチフルード交換など作業して、無事今回のリフレッシュメンテナンスが完了しました。純正パーツにこだわって、できるだけオリジナル状態に戻していく内容でオーダーをいただきましたが、実際に作業を進めていくと17万kmとその時間経過に伴う激しい汚れや傷みがあちこちにあり、それらを取り除いていく過程を見ているのがとても楽しかったです。
4月15日に満11歳を迎えるS2000も、こうやってオーナーさんが愛情を籠めてメンテナンスをすることで何度でも命を吹き込まれて生き返ります。ボクはAP1-100型S2000（現1号車）を発売前から予約して購入し、AP1-130型がデビューするとアメリカから一足早く2.2L化したモデルを逆輸入して乗り、今は木村さんのAP2-110型を預かって普段乗って楽しませてもらっています。以前は「新しいほど良いに決まっている」と思っていましたが、最近1号車でタイムアタックしたり、こうやってリフレッシュ作業に入庫するAP1-100〜120型の車を見ていると、クセがあって決して速くも安全でもないけど、S2000らしさがいっぱい詰まった初期モデルなら、現行モデルと別に1台所有しても楽しめるんじゃないかと思うようになりました。
横浜は昨日春一番が吹いて、今日も春本番を思わせる暖かさです。
We installed a new engine, re-did the alignment, changed the clutch fluid yesterday and finished the re-fresh menu and maintenance menu today. The owner wanted to keep it original as much as possible so we prepared all the factory original parts and freshen the cars performance. When we started work on the car, because of the 170,000km mileage and time there was many, very hard dirt and scratches on the car. It was also fun for us seeing the car how clean it has become which I am sure he will be surprise.
S2000 will turn 11years old in April 15th. Owners like him keeps brining life back to cars like this with lots of love. This makes us motivated. In my case, I placed an order for my own S2000 AP1-100 (ASM S2000 Car No.1) before it was out and when the AP1-130 came out, I ordered a 2.2L Ver. Of it from the United States and brought it back to Japan and now I am holding Kimura-sans AP2-110 S2000 and having fun with it. Before I used to think the newer model, or the latest models are always the best but after doing a time attack with car no.1 or seeing these kind of cars which comes in for our re-fresh menu, even though it has a twitch in the car and its not fast or safe but it has that feeling which S2000 is all about. The early AP1 models and the late AP2 models are completely a different car but maybe you can enjoy more by holding these two different cars.

ASM S2000 1号車を取材していただきました。SタイヤOKのオープンクラスにあえてラジアルのPOTENZA RE-11でエントリーしたことや、リヤブレーキシステムが純正そのままなことなど、他のチューニングショップさんとはちょっと違った手法でタイムアタックに挑戦していることを、各部の解説を加えながら説明してあります。バックボーンを知らず数字だけを見ると、大したことはないと思われても仕方ない「1分1秒587」を記録した1号車を、こんなに大きく取り上げてもらえると思っていなかったので、とても嬉しく思いました。
そんなVTECSPORTS誌ですが残念ながら今号でひとまず休刊、今後は不定期のムック本になるとのことです。NSX・S2000など相次いでホンダを代表するスポーツカーが生産中止になる現状を考えると仕方のないことかもしれません。まぁ、今までのホンダスポーツカーに加えて、CR-ZやシビックType-R EUROなどの新車のチューニングが盛り上がれば、復活する可能性があるわけだし。
ASMのS2000に対する取り組みは、これからも今までと全く同じように続けていきます。2009年からタイムアタックを始めた1号車は、今年はNA＋RE-11の組み合わせのまま、S2000ではSタイヤを履いてもなかなか超えることができないと言われる筑波1分切りを目指します。その様子をVTECSPORTS誌に取材してもらえることを楽しみにしています。
We had coverage with our ASM S2000 car no.1. from VTECSPORTS The class we entered was a open class which you could use S-tire but we purposely entered with a radial POTENZA RE-11, with the normal brake system for the rear. We did the time attack differently compared to other tuning shops. They have explained about our car in very detail and how and why we are doing this challenge. Without knowing us, just by looking at the number it isn’t such a big deal with the time of 1min 1,587sec but they have put our car in such a big page in color which I appreciate very much.

An issue. After the S2000 and NSX one of the main sports cars which HONDA produced out from the market, I think it’s normal. Together with the current models or previous models, if the new CR-Z or the Civic Type-R EURO becomes popular with tuning maybe they will have a come back.
For ASM, we will continuously do S2000 like we always have and always will. With car no.1 doing the time attack from 2009, with the combination of NA+RE-11 we will try to run Tsukuba within a minute. When that happens, I hope that VTECSPORTS can make an article about us again.

ASM Mobile Blogをご覧になり、早速その特典を使ってオイル交換していただきました。ミッションオイルはMIDLAND 90R、デフオイルはCastrol Pure Racing SAF-XJ 75W-140、エンジンオイルはMIDLAND Competition 7.5W-40、SARD オイルフィルターを同時交換です。エンジンオイルは前回交換から4,500km程度しか走っていませんが、その前の状態がかなり悪く汚れが溜まっていたので、オイルの洗浄効果を使い切る前に交換することになりました。別人のようにいい傾向です。
こちらのS2000ですが、今月中にはアルカンターラ仕様ダッシュボードを装着する予定です。元々ASMのパーツは1つも装着されていなかった車ですが、数年かけて作り込んでかなり綺麗に仕上がってきました。内装を全てアルカンターラで統一したい、SRE 2WAYを3WAYに仕様変更したい、AP RACINGブレーキキットが欲しい、床下空力パーツを装着したい・・・オーナーさんの物欲は無限大に広がり続けているようです。
After looking at the ASM Mobile Blog, he came straight away and used privilege and changed his oils. For the transmission oil he chose the MIDLAND 90R, for the deferential oil the Castrol Pure Racing SAF-XJ 75W-140, for the engine oil the MIDLAND Competition 7.5W-40 and for the oil filter to SARD. For the engine oil he has only driven about 4,500km since the last change but the condition before that was and I recommend him to change it before the clean up effect runs out.
With this S2000 we will install the Alcantara dash board some time this month. In the beginning there weren’t any ASM parts on this car but after many years and step by step the car is getting there. This owner was also telling me he wanted to change the interior all to Alcantara, his SRE 2WAY to 3WAY, AP RACING Brake kit and the floor with diffusers. His desire for his car keeps growing.

ASMから発売中の数々の本革製品を手がけてくれているameno spazio仲垣氏の本職は、本格的特注本革靴の製作です。セミオーダーで8万円程度、フルオーダーだと40万円以上するような靴を、その人の足の形や好みに合わせて作り込む、まさに靴職人と言う表現が相応しい仕事をされているのですが、その仲垣さんにお願いしてシューズバッグを作ってもらいました。
ASMでお薦めしているARDレーシングシューズはFIA公認モデルで36,000円程度するのですが、買った後の様子を見ていると、オマケでついてくるチープな布袋に包んでトランク内で保管していたり、自宅ガレージの片隅に無造作置いてあったりするのが現実です。ヘルメットでもそうですが、せっかくこだわって良い製品を手に入れたんだから、それを所有する喜びを感じたいし、それが間接的にヘルメットやシューズを大切に扱うことにも繋がって行くんじゃないかと感じています。とは言え、大掛かりなバッグにすると、狭いトランクにいっぱいの工具を積んでサーキットに行くS2000では邪魔になってしまうから、ちょっとした工夫で便利さを実現しつつ、素材を厳選して質感をアップする方向で製品をまとめました。

登録後11年目を迎えたS2000のリフレッシュ作業のため入庫していただきました。今回のメニューはベースメニューのウェザーストリップや油脂類交換の他、サスペンションブッシュ類の交換、錆や固着で整備性が著しく落ちていたフロントサブフレーム交換、ASM SREダンパーキット1WAYを最新モデルへのバージョンアップ、アライメント調整などサスペンション関連のリフレッシュ作業を行いました。
一通り満足の行くようなクルマに仕上がった今、その状態を保つことや細部の見直しでさらに性能を引き出していくのが今後の方向性になると思います。ASM 1号車も、エンジン＆ミッションマウントやサスペンションブッシュをリフレッシュすることでタイムに何らかの変化が出ると推測しているのですが、新規パーツの投入と同時に、時間の経過が引き起こす性能低下やトラブルを未然に防ぐリフレッシュ作業が今後重要になってくるでしょう。
After 11years having this car, this S2000 owner came to ASM to re-freshen his car. The based menu will be changing all the oils, all rubber parts like the weather strip, buses for the dampers, changing the front sub frame due to the rusts on it, up grading the ASM SRE Damper kit 1way to the new version and re-doing the alignment. We re-did suspension and around the suspension.
With the car being satisfy for now, to keep it that way it is and re-do more in details to bring out its performance will be the next direction. Even with the ASM car no.1 we are going to re-do the engine and transmission mount and the buses for the damper. Which it might make a difference with the time but adding new parts to the car, and the time passing by which might drop the performance of the car, its going to be also important to prevent any trouble by re-freshening the car.
