チャレンヂさんに3号車を入庫してきました。今回の目的は、I.S.Designリヤバンパー04＋I.S.Designサイレンサーキットの組み合わせでリヤディフューザーを装着するため、テールサイレンサー部分のカット用ゲージを制作することです。今までのSスペ用と比較すると、メインユニットは上方向にオフセットされたので、前後方向の開口面積は小さくなります。逆にチャンバーが追加された分、横方向のに開口面積は大きくなりました。
カット形状の変更に伴い剛性不足が懸念される部分については、カーボンシートを1枚追加して必要な剛性をしっかりと確保します。また、熱による製品の劣化を防ぐため、I.S.Designサイレンサーのメインパイプが通る部分に断熱材を予め入れる変更を加えます。目には見えない部分ですが、1号車でのテスト結果を経て気になった部分については、できる限り改善して3号車に装着したいですから。今回は04バンパーでデータ取りしましたが、今後07＆08ワイドバンパーでもデータ取りして変更する予定です。なお、全てI.S.Designサイレンサーキット対応となります。
I brought our ASM car no.3 to Challenge today. our objective was to installed the rear diffuser with the combination of our I.S.Design rear bumper 04 with I.S.Design Silencer Kit. We had to build a prototype to match the silencer on the tail end. Comparing with the previous S-special, the main unit is slightly off set to the top so the size of being cut of to the front and rear will be smaller but with the I.S.Design silencer with the extra chamber on the side needed to be open larger on the side ways.
Depending on how much we have to cut we might have to add one more carbon sheet for stiffness. We will also be adding a heat resistant material where the main pipe will go through. You wont be able to see it directly but with the test we did on car no.1 whatever we can prevent we will try to do it with car no.3. We took data’s with the 04 bumpers and we will do the same with the 07 and 08 wide bumpers in the near future. This will match the I.S.Design Silencer kit.

ドレスアップパーツとしてではなく、空力性能・エンジン出力・軽量化に寄与するチューニングパーツとしての性格が色濃い、I.S.Designエアロパーツを投入していただきました。
まず基本になるのはフロントバンパー。ボンネット方向と床下方向に空気を分けて流すノーズ形状になっており、これによって追加されていくリップスポイラー・カナード・ディフューザーの効果を最大限に発揮させることができます。また、開口部左右のダクト部分には大量の空気が流れ込む形状になっているので、オプションのブレーキダクトを追加することでブレーキローター温度を下げることが可能です。専用に設定したエアインテークキットを使えば、無限エアクリーナー装着時にフレッシュエアを効率よく供給することができます。ウェットカーボン製なのでボディ面は同色、ダクト内部をカーボン地で塗り分けるのがASMの定番となっていますが、こちらのオーナーさんは素材感を生かすために未塗装装着を選択されました。
次にエアロボンネット。まずこだわったのはカーボンプリプレグ＋オートクレーブ＋チャレンヂ製マスターモデルが可能にしたフィッティングと表面仕上げの確かさです。市販エアロパーツを装着して誰もが心の奥のどこかで感じる「品質レベルの低さ」、それを解消することに徹底してこだわりました。ボンネット裏骨には排水機構を持たせているため、ダクトカバーをつけなくても雨天時にダクトから入った水がボンネットキャッチ部分から下に流れ落ちるようになっています。ダクトを設けたことによる排熱効果については無限製には敵いません。でもデザインの自然さは大きなポイントですし、無限と同等以上の品質は欲しいけどあの派手なデザインはちょっと・・・と考えるユーザーさんへの新たな選択肢の提案ですから、これでいいと考えています。

Not just as a dress up parts but improving the aerodynamic performance, engine performance and reducing weight, this customer has chosen the I.S.Design body parts.
The basic is the front bumper. The nose shaped design divides the air flow towards the hood and under the car. This will improve even more by adding the lip spoiler, canards and front diffusers. The two ducts on the side also make sure the it will receive as much air as possible. Using these two ducts adding the brake ducts you can also lower temperature of the brake rotors. Adding the air intake kit will also give more fresh air to the intake using the Mugen air-cleaner box. its wet carbon so for the body surface painted according to the body color and the inner part of the duct just the clear paint is popular at ASM.
Next will be the hood, the carbon prepreg with auto crave and the challenge master model gives out a perfect surface finish and accuracy. We have solve the problem of the low quality fitments which a after market body kit has. We have added a path for the water to run down behind the hood so that there is no need to put a cover on the duct. The duct its self also helps release heat from the engine room. It has less escape than the Mugen but with the more natural and quiet design and the same quality which Mugen has and for those owners who likes to keep their car simple this will be my recommendation.

ASM S2000 1号車、2009年3月富士テスト

元町が賑わいを見せるこの時期、そこから徒歩10分のASMでもチューニングセールらしくPITがクルマでいっぱいです。特に今回は大型連休と言うこともあり、遠方からのお客様が目立ちますね〜。遠くから本当にありがとうございます。

Popular item with the S2000 is the body kit we have. Aero dynamics, design and quality is well balanced. The only problem is some find it a bit expensive with our I.S.Design body kit. In the beginning was not to sale 1000 sets and build a building but for those few who really understood the ASM Tsukuba Special 2004 body kit. I am proud its still popular for many. The sales we are having not only with the front and rear bumpers but also the front fender, side spoiler, aero bonnet and many more. And the limited clear painted carbon trunk is left with just two more sets.
Many other items are popular as well like the exhaust manifold 04,07 which can be used for a long time witch has been enhanced. GT bar series which you will be able to actually feel the difference, Aragosta, SRE 2way damper kits, changing to I.S.Design Silencer kit from S-special and other brands. The tuning sale has still half way to go, I would like as much as possible to come visit us at Yokohama.

軽量化と冷却性能の強化を兼ねて、I.S.Designエアロボンネットを装着していただきました。元々はボディ同色で検討されていましたが、ASM S2000 3号車のクリア塗装仕上げを見てクリア仕様に変更です。2002年以来カーボンプリプレグ製品を扱ってきて、クリア塗装の難しさを知りつつも仕上げに納得できていませんでした。ところが、去年から塗装をお願いしている工場でやっと文句なしを超えて感動できるレベルに達したので、最近ではお客様に積極的にクリア塗装をお薦めしています。
同時に無限ロールバーのオーダーもいただきました。サーキット走行の必須アイテムなのですが、幌と大きく干渉したり装着がスマートにできない製品が多い中で、このロールバーは純正のような自然なルックスと無限ならではのフィッティングの良さが長所です。今日さらにもう1台無限ロールバーの作業中、今後も人気が衰えることはなさそうなお薦めの製品です。

For reducing weight and improved cooling performance this customer has installed the I.S.Design Aero bonnet. first he was planning to painted in to silver to match the body but after looking at the clear paint quality with our ASM car no.3 he just painted with clear. After using carbon prepreg products since 2002, it has been difficult with the clear paint finish but from last year we have started to order the paint job to this paint shop and the finish is perfect. With this, I recommend most of the customer to paint it only with clear.
In the same time he also installed the MUGEN roll bar. It is a must item for track use but, with most other item which hits the roof or could not install it smartly this MUGEN roll bar has a genuine natural look and the perfect fitment is the good part with this item. We also had another roll bar installed today and many more will come in the future.

SACLAM管を装着したVQ35DE Z33にマキシムワークスエキゾーストマニホールドを装着しました。低周波音の社外マフラーや純正マフラーの場合、ドロドロドロドロ・・・と言うアメリカンな音に聞こえる不等長エキマニに起因する排気音の割れ音が、高周波サイレンサーSACLAMに交換するとかなり耳に付くルルルルルル・・・と言う音に変化します。これをSACLAMさん推奨のマキシムワークス製エキゾーストマニホールドに交換することで解消し、ファァァァァン・・と軽く乾いた綺麗な音質に昇華させてくれます。

We installed the Maxim Exhaust Manifold on the VQ35DE Z33 with the SACLAM Silencer. the standard exhaust or other after market exhaust has a low American sound with the un even manifold but with the high frequency silencer of SACLAM will change to a clear high pitch sound. With the Maxim Exhaust Manifold it will change even more to a light dried clear sound.
With changing the manifold which cost almost the same as the silencer, I am sure the owner will be surprised with the changes. It is a must item for those Z33VQ who has installed the SACLAM silencer kit, for those Z33HR ASM exhaust manifold from SACLAM will be the best match.

夏本番を迎えた暑さの中、たくさんのお客様がご来店になっている様子はレカロBlogでご覧いただくとして、3連休初日はS2000の作業もたくさん入っています。
上の写真のS2000は先日紹介したProdrive GC-07J ASM LIMITEDをベースに特注カラー メタルシルバー塗装したホイールを装着するのと同時に、ASMドライブシャフトスペーサー、ドライブシャフト交換、ハブベアリング交換、エンジンオイルMIDLAND Competition 15W-60交換、その他各部異音チェック＆メンテナンス作業をオーダーいただいたお客様です。走っているのはFSW、伊豆スカイライン、芦ノ湖スカイラインのみと言う割り切った使い方をされていますが、最低限の修理をきっちりやりながら、トラブルを未然に防ぐチューニングやメンテナンスをしています。
下の写真のS2000は、新潟県からご来店になり、I.S.DesignフロントディフューザーFRPモデルを装着いただきました。I.S.Designフロントエアロバンパーを装着する意味の50％はデザイン、残り50％は床下との組み合わせによる空力性能アップにあります。この大きな面積を各部にアップダウンを加えながら覆うことでダウンフォースを生み出し、高速走行時にフロントが大きくリフトしているS2000の空力特性を改善するパーツです。装着して乗ると、フロントタイヤの接地感が大きく向上してアンダーステアが軽減したことに驚くでしょう。今既にASM I.S.Designフロントエアロバンパーを装着されているユーザーさんはぜひこのパーツをつけて欲しいと思います。他社製エアロと何が違うのか、その時点でで初めて空力パーツの本質をご理解いただけることでしょう。
その他、前期S2000に後期ヘッドライトの交換作業や、MIDLAND エンジンオイル、LLC C72、無限サーモスタッド、無限ファンスイッチなどメンテナンス作業など、S2000の作業がずっと続いています。夏本番の暑さがやってきます。各種オイルやLLCをはじめアライメント調整やタイヤの内圧調整など、基本メンテナンスをキッチリやってS2000の運転を楽しみたいものです。

While the hot summer many customer came to ASM. Not only S2000 but off cause installing RECARO seats which you can see on our RECARO blog.
The top picture S2000 is installing Prodrive GC-07J ASM LIMITED with special paint of metallic silver. Installing the ASM drive shaft spacer, exchanging the drive shaft, the hub bearing, engine oil to MIDLAND Competition 15W-60. this customer only uses this S2000 on Fuji Speed Way, Izu Skyline, Ashinoko Skyline but he maintains his car very well before any troubles occurs.

The reason of installing the I.S.Design front bumper 50% is the design, the other 50% is the combination with the floor to improve aero dynamics. Covering this much surface with adding some ups and downs produce a down force which helps improve the front grip on high speeds.
After installing it, you will be surprised with how much under steer has been reduced. For any S2000 owner who already have the ASM I.S.Design front bumper, I recommend installing the front diffuser as well, to see how different it is with other make body kits and will know the exact meaning of what a body kit is meant to be.
Other was installing the late model S2000 head lights to the first year model, changing engine oil to MIDLAND, LLC C72, MUGEN thermo stud, MUGEN fan switch, and some maintenance menu. Its getting hotter everyday and I recommend maintaining your car and preparing for the hot summer like oils, LLC, alignments, adjusting the air pressure and doing the basic maintenance to enjoy your S2000.

S2000をお預かりして無限ロールバーを装着中です。さすがの無限ブランドで、位置合わせ〜装着まで非常にスムーズに作業が進みます。製造元によっては誤差がとても大きくて、加工したり逃がしたりと作業が難航するので、ASMでは無限製以外の装着作業は実質的に行っていません。唯一の不満？と言えば、FRP製のロールケージカバーの穴位置が多少ずれていることぐらいでしょうか。先日掲載したASMオレンジを使ったSpoon S2000にもこの製品を装着しました。オーナーさんの満足度の違いはかなりのものでしたよ。

We are installing the MUGEN roll bar to this S2000. Like exactly what you will expect from the brand MUGEN. The fitment and installation are going smoothly. Depending on the maker, we usually do not install beside MUGEN since it does not need any additional work to installing it. Only thing I am not satisfied with it is the FRP panel cover slightly does not fit exactly. We also installed this item to the silver S2000 with the full Spoon body kit. The difference of satisfactory is very different.
