ASM 筑波スペシャル2004で採用して同時に市販化した空力パーツ「I.S.Designエアロシリーズ」、人気のポイントは空力性能は当然として、カーボンプリプレグを採用して軽量・高剛性を両立していることにあります。一見自然なルックスに見えるASM S2000 1号車もその中身は全てオートクレーブ成形のカーボン製品で、ラジアルタイヤ＋エアコン付ながらFSW1分59秒台の大きな原動力となっています。
本来、オートクレーブ製品の製造には加圧成形専用の強固な成形型が必要なのですが、たいした数量も出ず一部の本物を欲しがるユーザーさんと1号車＆2号車のためだけに高コストの型を用意するのもどうかと考えて、最低限の強度の型を繰り返し補修しながら今まで製造してきましたが、それもそろそろ限界を迎えたので、今回最後のオーダーを受付し、それを持ちましてカーボン製のリヤオーバーフェンダーの生産を終了します。カーボン製パーツを使ったワイド化をご検討されているユーザー様には最後のチャンスとなりますので、ご希望される場合はASMまでご連絡下さい。

Using at ASM Tsukuba Special 2004, and also sale for the market, the I.S.Design body kit series are popular because of the aero dynamics off cause but using carbon-prepreg to make it light and strong. Just looking at our ASM car no.1, looks natural but its all carbon fiber shaped by autoclave. Air-conditioned and using radial tires, manage to run Fuji at 1min59sec.
Using autoclave, usually you will need a special pressured strong mold but I knew there wasn’t going to be much people out there who are going to purchased and only a few users who wants the real thing and using it on car no.1 and car no.2 is point less to spend high cost just for the mold. With the minimum strength needed on the mold we used and repeating repairing the mold wile producing the products. The mold has finally reached its limit. So for this, we are accepting orders which will be the last for the carbon rear over fenders. For those thinking of purchasing the carbon fiber fenders, this is your last chance to purchase them. 毎年必ずこの日にご来店になり、S2000のために何かをご購入いただいているオーナー様が今年もやってきました。今年のこだわりパーツはI.S.Designサイレンサーキットでした。今までは無限マフラー後期型を装着されており、まだまだ綺麗でもったいないぐらいでしたが、3号車の試乗をして快適性と音質に感動してしまい予定外のご成約でした。帰り道はオープンで走りましたか？これから耳が慣れてくるとどんどん音が良くなって来ますから、できるだけ屋根を開けて楽しんで下さいね。
・・・と、ここまでで終わればいつもどおりなのですが実はこれは予定外のオマケ、今回の本当の目的はS2000のリフレッシュと見えないバージョンアップでした。ミッションOH、純正ブレーキキャリパー＋純正ローター＋ZONEブレーキパッド＋ASMブレーキホース＋AP RACING PRF660交換、無限強化ブッシュ交換、そしてASM DREXLER LSDの装着です。DREXLERも予定外だったかもしれませんが（笑）、3号車に試乗して、レスポンス良くデフが効き、アクセルOFF時にもトラクションがかかりながらも一切の異音や振動がないことに驚き、納得のご成約でした。
イニシャル調整の方法についてお話させていただきました。当たり前の方法なのに、そうやってデフプレッシャー変更できるのはボクが知る限りDREXLERだけです。正確な寸法精度、削り出しケースの高い強度、プレッシャープレートの表面処理技術とCastrol Pure Racing SAF-XJ 75W-140の高い信頼性の組み合わせが生み出した魔法のLSDを装着する瞬間を楽しみにお待ちください。

A Tuned Sound Quality
Every year on this day, this S2000 owner comes to ASM to get or do something to his S2000. The one item I had in mind for him was the I.S.Desing Silencer kit. He was using the Mugen Silencer kit that was in almost perfect condition and it was a bit of waist to change it but after hearing the the sound of Car no.3, hearing the sound quality, comfort, he fell in love with it. It was a unexpected purchase. I wander if he opens the top down on the way back home. After getting used to it, the sound will sound more and more better. I recommend opening the top as much as possible.
But that is not the main reason he came to ASM. The silencer was just an extra thing, the real main reason was refreshing his S2000 and a little bit of modification. Overhauling the transmission, renewing the brake calipers, rotors, ZONE brake pads, ASM brake horse, AP RACING PRF660, MUGEN enhanced bush and ASM DREXLER LSD. DREXLER LSD was unscheduled as well but also like the silencer kit, after rider car no.3 and fell in love with the welled response, of the deferential and the traction when the acceleration off. Was surprised with the LSD that did not make any noise and how smooth it was.
I have also explained the initial adjustment. Natural way but to change the deferential pressure I think as far as I know only DRELER can do. Accurate dimension, a high strength of machined skin panel, technology of the surface finishing and high dependability of Castrol Pure Racing SAF-XJ 75W-140. it’s a magical LSD which I am sure he will be satisfied with.

存在を意識させないDREXLER LSD

暇つぶしにASMに来ていたKINGを誘って、以前から気になっていた本牧通り沿いのアメリカンダイナー、BOOGIE CAFEに行ってきました。905ストリート南下して本牧通りに入って進んでいくと左側にあるお店です。深夜2時まで続く夜茶会の後もやっているお店で、いつも店先に車が止まって店内が賑やかそうだったのでずっと気になっていました。
店内はすごく狭いのですが、カウンター＋奥のテーブル席＋表のオープンスペースがあります。メニューはハンバーガーを中心としたもので、ハンバーガーは600円〜とすごくリーズナブル、今回はチーズバーガーとコーラをオーダーして1200円でした。バンズ・パティはフライパンで焼き上げてくれるので、時間はそれなりにかかります。店内は肉とパンの匂いでいっぱいになり、出来上がりまで我慢するのが大変でした（笑）。
昼間は周辺で仕事をしている人がランチ代わりに利用していて、夜はクルマ好きの常連さんが遅くまで集まっているそうです。ASMから車で5分程度ですから、ご来店のついでに軽く食べに行ってみてはいかがでしょうか。ちょっと古びたアメリカンな雰囲気で、横浜本牧を満喫できるお薦めのお店です。

Honmoku Street. Boogei Café
KING came to ASM to kill some time today, and I asked him to join me for lunch. There was one place along the Honmoku Street. An American Diner, BOOGIE CAFÉ. Just down south from 905 streets. Opens until 2am and there’s always a few cars parked in front of the place and always looked packed.
The place its self is very small, counter, one table seat, and a open space out side. The menu is mostly hamburgers and starts off from 600yen, which I think is reasonable. I ordered cheeseburger and a coke and was 1200yen. They will fry the buns after order so it takes a while but the smell going through the place makes you difficult to wait.
During the day, people who work near by come here for lunch, and at night lot of car lovers come for dinner and stay late. It’s about 5min from ASM so maybe you can try it out wile you wait for installment. It has this old American style and can enjoy Yokohama Honmoku even more. If you are planning to go during the day tell them I introduced you.

今年もエアロパーツ製作の季節がやってきました。やり尽くした感のあるS2000ですが、今年は1号車でタイムアタックを行うので、それを前提にしたエアロパーツを追加します。今回は、ストリートでもやり過ぎ感がなくて格好よく、サーキットでも十分に効果を実感できる現行リヤウィングはそのままに、新たにワイド＆ハイマウントタイプのリヤウィングを企画中。それほど数は売れないのでローコストの型を採用予定のため生産本数に限りがありますが、I.S.Designリヤオーバーフェンダー装着車専用サイズの車検対応リヤウィングになります。
夕方、工場内部に1号車を入れて記念撮影しました。ASMのドライカーボン製品は全てここから出荷されています。1号車で言えばカーボンプリプレグ製I.S.Designエアロパーツ全て、無限ハードトップ、内装に使っているドア内張り、センターコンソールがそれに当たります。あ、ナンバープレートベースもそうですね（笑）。なかなか格好良く撮れたと思うのですが、プロカメラマンが撮った写真は4倍良かったです。ネコパブさんが近々出版する予定のS2000本に掲載されますので、書店で見かけたらぜひご購入下さい。
Challenge
The season to make new aero parts has arrived. I feel I have done enough with the S2000 but for this year we are doing the time attack with car no.1 so planning to add more items for it for the time attack. The based on the current wing, which can be used on the street and on the track with its performance, I am planning another wing which will be wider and high mount. I don’t think I will be able to sell that much so, planning to do it with the low cost mold but will be able to pass the inspection. And the size will match the I.S.Design Rear over fender.
In the late afternoon, I took a picture of car no.1 within the factory. All our ASM dry carbon products are ship out from here. Even the Mugen hard top, the interior panels for the door and center console. Even the number plate base. I think the picture came out well but when the professional cameraman took the picture it was quadruply better. It will be out on a S2000 book soon. 明日は午前中サクラム宇野社長を訪問、Z34用SACLAM管の現状確認をさせてもらいます。Z33用SACLAM管は現在も毎月5本前後売れる人気モデルで、当然Z34オーナー様待望の製品でもあります。ASMにもすでに多くの問い合わせをいただいている車種なので製品化直前の現状をしっかりと自分の耳で確認しておかないとお客様に感動した気持ちが伝わらないですから。
午後はその足でチャレンヂ中村社長を訪ねます。目的のひとつは雑誌の取材です。メーカー系とかじゃなくてチューニング系の雑誌としては初めてカメラが中に入るのではないでしょうか？過去様々な雑誌社さんに提案してきたチャレンヂさんの取材ですが、何故かタイミングが合わなかったりして実現できませんでした。今回いよいよ世界有数のカーボンコンポジット工場内部が誌面で紹介されます。S2000用無限ハードトップ＆ボンネット、日産GT-R用カーボンディフューザーをはじめ、ASMの全ドライカーボンパーツがチャレンヂさんの作品です。そのクオリティの高さの秘密が明らかになります。
取材が終わった後はASM S2000 1号車用（＝市販用）エアロパーツの製作の打ち合わせをします。もうやり尽くした感があるので今年はあれこれやりませんが、ひとつだけ大物を作ります。それはI.S.Designリヤオーバーフェンダー装着車専用リヤウィングです。オーバーフェンダーを装着した車両に装着して車検対応になる幅・高さまで大型化しつつ、ウィング形状そのものも見直します。1号車の一層のタイムアップのために大きな武器になってくれることでしょう。翼断面にはASM筑波スペシャル2006以降で採用している大型ウィングの要素を取り入れます。街乗りとサーキットをバランスしているのは現行モデルなのは間違いないですが、空飛ぶウィングもたまにはOK、またまた売れない部品を作ってしまうことになりそうです・・・と言うわけで、明日は1号車に乗って埼玉近辺をドライブです。
Our direction for 2009
Tomorrow morning I will be visiting SACLAM, to see the Z34 exhaust. The SACLAM pipes for the Z33 is still very popular and selling about five pcs a month. And off cause for the Z34 owners there are looking forward with it. We also have lot of inquires at ASM. And I needed to check it out before they release out for the market and listen to the sound. And to make sure to share this feeling with others.
In the afternoon, I went straight to Challenge For magazine coverage. I think is the first time for a tuning magazine to go in with a camera. I have recommended many magazines for coverage. But timing always made things difficult. I think for the first time, one of the world’s famous carbon composite factory is going to be introduced. They have made the Mugen hard top, Mugen hood, the Nissan GT-R carbon diffusers and all the ASM dry carbon parts. The secret of their high quality is going to be revealed.
After the coverage, we had a meeting for the ASM S2000 car no.1. We were discussing about the aero parts. Which I think we have done a lot and nothing else to do but we are planning to make one big item. A rear wing for those who has the I.S.Design rear over fender. Which will be bigger and within the inspection limit. The width, height, and the actual shape of the wing will be different. Which should help with the time attack for car no.1. Airfoil section will be element added from the ASM Tsukuba Special (car No.2). the welled balanced wing which can be used for the street and on the track is the current wing we have but, a wings that looks like it can fly is also okay I guess. Most properly I wont be able to sell this. Well I will be going for a drive around Saitama with car no.1.

I.S.Designリヤエアロバンパー04を装着しました。カーボン部分は左右出しマフラー用を選択して無限サイレンサーキットと組み合わせて装着です。07タイプは1本出し専用ですが、04タイプはマフラーに合わせて2種類の形状を用意していますので純正や無限マフラー装着時からI.S.DesignサイレンサーキットやSスペに交換しても一部パーツを変更するだけで対応が可能なことと、純正＋αのシンプルなデザインが魅力の製品です。
僕は、エアロ単体での奇抜なデザインはストリートカーでは不要だと考えています。誰もが全てのエアロパーツを装着できるわけではありません。1つだけ装着しても純正のデザインを崩さない自然さと、コンプリートした時のデザイン完成度の高さと空力性能を高次元にバランスすること、それがASMのエアロパーツ全部に共通した狙いです。

I.S. Design Rear Aero Bumper 04 with MUGEN Silencer Kit
We have installed the I.S.Design rear aero bumper 04. For the carbon parts we have chose the double pipe type to match the MUGEN silencer kit. For the 07bumper only are fitted for single pipe but for the 04model we have prepared two versions of it so that both single and double pipe silencer like the MUGEN or for the genuine pipes. Even changing the double silencer to a single silencer just changing the carbon parts then can be fitted. It is a simple design which is based on a genuine bumper ＋α.
What I think of body kits is eccentricity design for the each item is unnecessary. Not every one can install body kits. Just installing one item to not destroy the genuine design and a natural look and the completion of the design and aero dynamics with high balanced is the ASM aero parts.

2008年晩秋の岡山合宿、最高のテストができました

2008年末、全く買う気がなかったにも関わらず箱根ツーリング中に突然スイッチが入りRECARO RS-G ASM LIMITED CLを左右セットで手に入れた王様の息子、プリンスのシゲが2009年も止まりません。今回はG.T WORKS GENROMフェアに合わせてECU交換＋I.S.Designサイレンサーキットを装着です。
GENROMに関しては、全くやる気のない僕が珍しく強く薦めたので即決でご成約下さったのですが、I.S.Designサイレンサーキットについては逆に王子からアプローチがあり、検討時間わずか5分での決断でした。昨日の深夜、横浜からの帰り道の羽田空港トンネル内の音はいかがでしたか？GENROM共々詳細なレポートをお待ちしています。ありがとうございました。

Shige’s Prince, the decision of the ASM prince 2009
End of 2008, he was telling me he wasn’t interested of it but after the Hakone drive, and after purchasing the RECARO RS-G ASM LIMITED CL for both side, Shige is going for more for 2009. this time, we had the G.T WORKS GENROM fair and so he has purchased the I.S.Design silencer kit with GENROM ECU.
For the GENROM, even though I didn’t push him to purchase it, he ordered it straight away but for the I.S. Design Silencer kit, he came to me and after five minuets of discussion, he decide to get it. On the way back home from Yokohama, I wander he enjoyed the sound at the tunnel at the Haneda Airport. I will be waiting for the report. Thank you.
