1号車のレカロシートをRS-G ASM LIMITED ALCANTARAからPRO RACER SP-Aに変更しました。写真はHANS対応の最新モデルですが、実際に装着するのはASM筑波スペシャルに装着しているHANS非対応モデルを流用します。いつかこのシートが欲しいとは思っているんですけどね。
交換の理由は軽量化と更なるホールド性向上です。RS-Gに別段不満はないのですが、ナンバーを切った1号車ならもっと思い切ったことをやりたいので、今まで我慢していたSP-A導入を実行に移すことにしました。ダッシュボードやドア内張りまで同じ生地でまとめてあるので、デザイン面では今までの方がマッチしていると思いますし、生地自体のすべりにくさや長期間使用した時の耐久性も「さすが」と言えるレベルにあるアルカンターラから、オーソドックスなベロアにランクダウンしてしまうのは残念です。でも、極限まで無駄を削り鉄板むき出し内装の1号車なら、質実剛健なベロアを組み合わせた雰囲気が逆に格好良かったりするのが不思議。同じ表皮でも車や好みによってかなり評価が変わるのが難しくもあり面白いところです。
ここまではASM筑波スペシャル2008の内装を見ていたから予測できたのですが、最大の懸念事項はロールケージとの干渉でした。まずは頭上ですがギリギリ逃げている感じです。車体製作時から「これは失敗だろ・・・」と思っていた前後バーの取り回しはやはりその内見直さないといけないですね。でもとりあえず干渉なく装着できました。サイドバーとサイドサポートの干渉も皆無、ドア内張りとショルダーサポートの間にも5mm程度のクリアランスが確保できています。レカロジャパン純正ウルトラローポジレール（市販品）との組み合わせなので、安全性も抜群です。シートへのこだわりはあっても、レールとなると突然価格優先になってしまうお客様もまだまだたくさんいらっしゃいます。ASM筑波スペシャル2003では社外シートレールを使っていましたが、2004〜2007では市販正規レールに入れ替えた程、安全性・剛性に寄与する部分です。

The reason of changing the seats is for reducing weight and to have more support. I don’t really have any complaints with RS-G but since now car no.1 is no longer road legal without a license plate, I am planning to do as much things possible with the car. The dash bored and the door panel has the same material with the previous one so the design would be a bit strange. Plus the velour material compared to the alcantara, has less strength and easier to slip. But since car no.1 will reducing weight to its limit without any unnecessary things installed it might look nice from a different point of view. Depending on the car and usage of the material, a car can change so much.
I could roughly imagine how it will look like when installed, by imagining with the ASM Tsukuba Special. The only thing I was worried was the clearance with the roll cage with the top part of the seat. Just like I thought in the beginning, when I felt the front and the rear bar will need to be redesign. It just had a slight clearance and manage to install it, there wasn’t any problem with the side bar and side support and has a 5mm clearance with the door panels and the shoulder support. We will be using the RECARO JAPAN Ultra Low Position seat rails so there isn’t anything to worry about safety. Even for some, seat rails aren’t that much important compared to the seat quality. With the ASM Tsukuba Special 2003 we were using after market seat rails but from 2004~untill now we changed to the RECARO genuine seat rails for more strength and safety.

2008年晩秋の岡山合宿、初日走行編

S2000 3号車のレカロシートを（オーナーさんに無断で）変更しました。今まで使っていたのはRS-G ALCANTARA Version、ASMとして開発段階から関与して、S2000のために作られたと言っていいRS-Gシェルをベースに、質感・ホールド性・耐久性を全て兼ね備えたアルカンターラを表皮として採用したモデルです。ワインディングでのスポーツ走行を最重視しつつ、ストリートでの乗り心地やオープン時のインテリアの質感向上にも配慮して選択しました。そんなRS-Gを一旦外して装着したのはRECARO SP-JC 350LIMITEDです。
このシートは2003年に発売された限定モデルで、レカロジャパンとして初めての本革レカロシートでした。電動リクライナー・シートヒーター・レカロヴェント（除湿ファン）・エアランバーサポートを標準装備したAM19シリーズSPORT-JCをベースに、1脚あたり牛2頭分の中から上質な部分のみを使って製作した黒本皮表皮を採用、RECAROロゴ・350LIMITEDロゴ・Wステッチを全てオレンジで統一したモデルです。
2003年当時、S2000には赤・黒・青のベロア表皮を採用したSP-GやSR-3を装着するのが当たり前でしたが、このシート発売と同時に流れは一変しました。室内が狭いスポーツカーだからこそリクライニング角度を微調整できる電動リクライニング機構が必要だとか、インテリアが外から見えるオープンカーだからこそ質感や統一感にこだわって左右セット装着しようだとか、純正ロールバーとシートヘッドレストの形状がピッタリ合っているので交換による違和感がないとか、オープンカーに最適な季節である秋〜冬にはシートヒーターが必須と言うような、今となっては当たり前の事実が一般的に認識されるようになるきっかけになったのが350LIMITEDです。
1年後、SP-GN EDELと言う本革＋赤Wステッチ＋シルバーRECAROロゴを採用した本革フルバケットシートがレカロジャパンから限定品として発売されて大人気となり、それに組み合わせることを念頭においてASMデザインモデルのファーストモデルとしてSP-JC ASM LIMITEDを企画してリリースしました。運転席にSP-GN EDEL、助手席にSP-JC ASM LIMITEDと言う組み合わせがS2000で大ブレイクした後、SP-JC ASM LIMITEDは全国的にその存在を知られることになり、レガシィ・BMW・ポルシェをはじめ多くのクルマ好きのお客様から支持されて人気急上昇、その後SR-3・SP-G3・SR-11・SR-6・RS-G・TS-GなどASM LIMITEDシリーズの礎をなる製品に成長しました。そう言う意味でRECARO 350LIMITEDとそれを最初に買ってくれた多くのお客様のおかげで今のASMがあります。
だからこのシートはボクにとって特別な存在で、AUDI TTクーペ（白）→AUDI TT DSG（パパイヤ）→MINIの3台に装着した後も売却せずに大切に保管してきました。先日久しぶりにS2000に装着して運転したところ、適度なホールド感と微振動を吸収する座面構造を持つAM19基本骨格、しっとりと体にフィットする本革ならではのタッチの良さ、寒くなった今朝でも体をホカホカ温めてくれるシートヒーターなど、S2000をストリートで楽しむにはこのシートがベストなんだと気付かされます。その昔レカロシートは一生モノと言われましたが、購入してから6年が経過しても未だ褪せない魅力に、その言葉が真実であることを実感しました。
I changed the RECARO seats of our ASM S2000 Car no.3. The actual seat which was installed was the RS-G ALCANTARA Version. From the beginning stages of making this RS-G we at ASM was involve and you can also say it was made for S2000. Base on this RS-G shell type seat, quality, support and durability has been added for with the ALCANTARA surface. off cause its been design for sports use on a winding roads, but also up grading the interior quality whenever its open on the street. But I wanted install the RECARO SP-JC 350 LIMITED for a while.
This seat was introduce back in 2003 and was a limited model. It was the first lather seat which RECARO Japan produced. With the electrical recliner, seat heater, RECARO vent and air lumber support in it. Based on the AM19 series SPORTS-JC and using two cow head for one seat to make the lather. The RECARO logo, 350LIMITED logo and the stitches are in orange.
Back in 2003, for S2000 it was popular to install the velour surface SP-G or SR-3, red, blue and black. When this seat came out everything change. With the tight interior sports car for some it was important to have the electrical reclining system to adjust the seat more in detail, it’s a open top car and the interior was important to have a solid quality when seen from the out side, some would look for seats which will match the STD roll bar with the head rest, some will look for seat heater etc. for now it’s a normal thing but this 350 LMITED was one seat that make this happen.
A year later, SP-GN EDEL came out, which was all lather with red doubled stitch with the silver RECARO logo full bucket seat. It was a limited model from RECARO Japan and was a big hit and to match this we decided to produce a seat which was the first ASM design model, the SP-JC ASM LMITED. These two combinations was a big hit with the S2000 and SP-JC ASM LIMITED was recognized all over Japan. It has been popular with many other cars as well, Legacy, BMW, Porsche etc. The SP-JC ASM LIMITED helped build the base for the after coming models for ASM. SR-3, SP-G3, SR-11, SR-6, RS-G and TS-G. Its because of the RECARO 350 LIMITED and those who bought the our SP-JC ASM LIMITED in the beginning that ASM exist today.
That is why for me this seat is a special. I had it installed on my AUDI TT coupe, AUDI TT DSG and to my MINI but I am still keeping it and will keep keeping it. The other day I had it install on S2000 and with the just nice hold and the shock absorber which the AM19 frame has fits the body just nice. Also with the seat heater which keeps you warm during winter. It makes you think for the street this might be the perfect seat. They used to say that RECARO seats are a life time seat, after six years from the day I purchased, the seats are still attractive and what they say about the seats are true.

王様の愛馬に白い本皮レカロシートを装着完了

昨日紹介したSR-6 Super Starkと対になるモデルです。ベースモデルは人気フルバケットシートRS-G、座り心地の良さ、点ではなく面で支える柔らかなサポート性能、シート底面をラウンドさせてアイポイントを極力落とせるようにした形状、バックレスト角度は名機SP-Gと同じに設定するなど、人気ナンバーワンにならない理由を探すことが難しいモデルです。

It’s the opposite model of the SR-6 Super Stark I have introduced yesterday. The based model is the popular full bucket seat RS-G. With the seat comfort, its doesn’t support by point but by surface with a soft support performance. By making the bottom of the seat surface round to drop the eye point, making the back rest angle same with the SP-G and its difficult to find reason why its not number one in popularity.
The RS-G Super Stack is using shining mesh and camui combination on the material, for the back rest, shoulder and the bottom part using alcantara. Also using silver RECARO logo with silver double stitch model. Just by the design, it might match the R35 GT-R, Porsche or Evo.
This is a limited model of 500 but by the looks of the sale, comparing with the SR-6 Super Stark it might finish sooner than expected.

RECARO LONG DRIVEキャンペーン

今日は朝からVTEC SPORTS誌の取材でした。S2000・MINI・Z33に関しての取材は多いのですが、今回は珍しく？レカロシートを切り口にした取材でした。テーマはホンダ スポーツセダンってことで最新型アコードをベースにチューニングされている無限仕様を持ち込んでのイメージカット撮影だったのですが、レカロジャパンからベースフレームが発売されていませんので、本当にイメージだけになってしまったのが残念です。物理的に装着が可能であっても、認証部品として登録されているシートとシートレールの組み合わせ以外は保安基準適合外と言うのが今のルールですからね。
とは言えホンダにはFD2シビックType-Rがあるし、モデルチェンジしたとは言えCL7アコードのチューニングもまだまだ元気です。それらを横目で見ながらの受け答えだったので、コンフォート系モデルばかりでなくスポーツシートからフルバケットシートまでお薦めしたのですが、さてさて、どんな記事になるのでしょうか。発売は10月です。
From the morning we had a magazine interview from VTEC SPORTS. We have many interviews about S2000, MINI and Z33 but today was about RECARO seats. The article is going to be about the Honda sports sedan and they brought in the latest Accord Mugen Ver for a image cut. There isn’t a seat rail from RECARO JAPAN so it really became just the image, sadly. Even though physically its possible to install it but certificate seat and rails are meant to use together by the rules.
There is also the FD2 Civic Type-R from HONDA and even though they had the model change, the CL7 Accord is still a popular car for tuning. Not only just the comfort type seats I recommend but also sports seats like the full bucket seats. I will be looking forward with the article; it will be out in October.

今日の横浜は台風が近づいていて、朝から強い雨が降り続き、時折それらしい風が表の街路樹を揺らしています。2009年夏のレカロフェア最終日の今日、そんな大荒れの天気にも関わらずご来店いただいた埼玉県のS2000オーナーさんがRS-G ASM LIMITEDを左右セットで装着された他、最後の駆け込み需要で数脚のレカロシートの確定オーダーをいただくなど、ガラ〜ンとした店内とは裏腹にフェア最終日らしいレカロ屋さんとなりました。
この夏のレカロフェアは去年のそれをはるかに越える人気で、「どうせレカロを買うなら赤WステッチのASM LIMITEDが欲しい」とか、「高速道路料金が1,000円の今だから、横浜への旅行を兼ねてASMに行こう」とか、理由は色々でもとにかく遠くからASMに来てくれたお客様が目立ちました。遠くの店で買った場合、万が一シートに不具合があったりすると手間も何かとかかります。近くにお住まいのお客様と比べると、どうしてもサポートが行き届かない面も出てきます。お客様も当然それを理解されているにも関わらず、こうやって遠くからASMに来ていただけるのですから、本当に感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。
ASMが横浜にお店を出す数年前、僕が大好きだったレカロシートをやっと取り扱いできるようになって数ヵ月後のことですが、RECARO 350LIMITEDと言う限定モデルを購入して、当時の愛車AUDI TTクーペに装着して使っていました。レカロジャパンとしてリリースした初の本革モデルで、電動リクライナー・除湿ファン・シートヒーターを標準装備し、歩留まりがとても悪いにも関わらず質感にこだわった表皮にオレンジRECAROロゴ＋オレンジWステッチを組み合わせたレカロシートです。このシートに座ってTTでドライブした時間は未だ僕の中で色褪せない大切な物で、当時高かったけど無理して買って本当に良かったと思える逸品です。「こんな経験を少しでも多くの人にして欲しい」と強く思ったことが、4年前横浜にお店を出す原動力のひとつになったことは間違いありません。

The weather at Yokohama today was raining from the early morning. With the typhoon coming, the strong wind and the rain are shaking the trees on the road. Today was the last day of the 2009 RECARO fair and even with the bad weather we had customers coming from far.
We had this S2000 owner who came from Saitama, installed the RS-G ASM LIMITED on both driver and passenger side. And few last minute orders. It was a qualified last day for the fair at ASM.
This year’s summer RECARO fair was much more popular than last year. Many wanted the ASM LIMITED models, some dropping by Yokohama from their holiday trip, reasons are many. As usual there were many customers who came from far to visit ASM. If purchasing from far, if there is any problem occur off cause it takes time but comparing with those customers near by, it’s a bit difficult to support them from far. And off cause many of these customers understand this but still come to ASM and I appreciate this a lot.
Few years ago when ASM opened at Yokohama, to be able to sale RECARO seats which I love a lot, I installed the RECARO 350 LIMITED to my car at that time the AUDI TT Coupe. It was the first lather model released from RECARO JAPAN with the electric reclining, fan and heater installed. With the lather quality which they have hung up to and the orange RECARO logo with orange doubled stitch. The time I have spent with this seat on TT was unforgettable and I treasure it a lot. It was expensive at that time but I force my self to buy it and I have no regrets and it’s a master piece. I wanted to as much people to experience this and was one of the reasons I opened the shop at Yokohama 4years ago.
For those customers who purchased the RECARO seats during this fair, I wish they will have more fun, comfort and luxuriance with their car life. With detailed positions or adjustments with the seats, you can ask our stuff. Tomorrow will be September which ASM will celebrate its 4th year anniversary. 高知県からお客様がご来店。今回はS2000ではなく通勤用の使っているスイフトにレカロシートを装着するために、わざわざ平日の今日四国高知県から来て下さいました、ホント嬉しいです。しかも素朴な味で食べても飽きないミレービスケットいっぱいと、ニューサマーオレンジ（現地名：子夏）をお土産でいただきました。両方大好きなのでおいしくいただきます。
来店記念にASMチタンナンバーボルト（1本4,200円）を3本購入したいと言っていただいたのですが、僕もビックリの知らぬ間に100本完売。去年の11月ごろ、ステンレスモデル100本に続きチタンモデルを100本製作したのですが、3本4,725円だったステンレス製よりはるかに短い期間で完売したことになります。結局ASM Blogに1回も出ない内になくなってしまいました。次は、ステンレス製をベースにちょっとオプションを追加したモデルをご用意する予定です。
レカロフェア開催中の今日、平日にも関わらずたくさんのお客様がご来店になっています。先ほどはR55 MINI CLUBMANオーナーさんがASM SREダンパーキットZEROをご予約下さいました。基本はR56と同じで、ASM SREの場合全長調整でリヤ側の車高をアジャストできることと、そもそも5.4kg/mmと言う高めのバネレートを組み合わせていますので、問題なくクラブマンにもマッチングするんですよ。装着をお楽しみに〜☆
This customer came all the way form Kouchi. He didn’t come with his S2000 but with his everyday car SWIFT. To install the RECARO seats. even though was the weekdays I really appreciate it. plus he brought some biscuits and some other snacks and fruits.
He also wanted to buy the ASM Titanium Number Bolt but all 100 pcs was sold out which I didn’t know. With the stainless model from last year the titanium model was sold out in much shorter spend. not even once I had the chance to write on the ASM blog with it. the next model I am planning is based on the Stainless model adding some options maybe.
With the RECARO Fair which we are having at the moment we have many customers coming to ASM during the weekdays and the weekends. We also have the R55 MINI CLUBMAN who ordered the ASM SRE Damper kit ZERO. Its same with the R56 basically but with the ASM SRE will be able to adjust fully with the height of the rear. With the slightly high spring rate of 5.4kg/mm so there isn’t any problem with clubman matching.

この夏開催しているレカロフェアで人気モデルと言えば、フルバケットシートRS-GとリクライニングスポーツシートSR-6のASM LIMITEDです。RS-Gは街乗りのみで使うとしても、面で体を支える優しいホールド感が特長なので、乗り心地面で大きな不満が出るモデルではありません。だからこそ、一見レーシングパーツと思えるフルバケットシートが人気ナンバーワンになるのでしょう。一方SR-6 ASM LIMITEDは高く張り出したサイドサポートや、肩を圧迫するほどせり出したショルダーサポートが特長のリクライニングスポーツシートです。ウレタンもRS-G以上に硬く、リクライニングすると言う要素以外は全ての面でRS-Gより快適性が低いかもしれません。でも、それ程割り切ったモデルだからこそ、スポーツハッチバック車を筆頭に、サポート性を確保したいけど、利便性を損ないたくないと言うユーザーさんに支持されて人気モデルとなっているのでしょう。
そしてもうひとつの注目モデルと言えば6月に発売されたばかりのニューモデル、RECARO SR-7であることは間違いありません。SR-6と同じIS05基本骨格を採用しつつ、SR-6ほどスポーツを意識させないバランスの良いモデルとなっています。そうは言いつつ、事前の触れ込みとは違いSR-6に近い硬さのウレタンを採用していたり、サイドサポートのしっかり感と合わせてSR-3後継モデルと言うのに相応しいスポーツ性能の高さも併せ持ったモデルになっているため、幅広いユーザーさんから支持されていることを感じます。
ASMではオープン4周年を迎える2009年9月に、RECARO SR-7 ASM LIMITEDを発売開始します。紹介したとおり必要十分なサポート性能を持っているSR-7ではありますが、僕自身クルマに装着して数千km使用してみたところ、もう少しショルダーサポート性能を向上させて上半身を支えてくれれば、よりリラックスして運転できることを実感しました。それを踏まえてSR-7 SK100をベースに大型のノンスリップサポートをショルダー部分に追加して、赤Wステッチ＋シルバーRECAROロゴでまとめたモデルとなっています。

■RECARO SR-7 ASM LIMITED 109,200円（2009年9月発売開始）
The Most popular RECARO models which we are having the RECARO fair is the full bucket seat RS-G and the reclining seat SR-6 ASM LIMITED. Even using the RS-G only on the streets, due to the gentle hold which covers the whole body, there isn’t any frustration or uncomforting with this seat. Just by the looks, it looks like racing parts, but I am sure the full bucket seats will be the no.1. With the SR-6 ASM LIMITED, it has a high over hang side support and the tight shoulder reclining sports seat. Urethane its self is harder compared with the RS-G. It might have less comfort than the RS-G and the only thing better is the reclining elements. Its popular with those car who wants support but also usability users.
Another model which everyone has attention with is the new RECARO SR-7 which came out in June. Based on the IS05 frame, it does not have too much sports feeling like the SR-6 but welled balanced seat. It’s going to be the after model of the SR-3, with the hard urethane from the SR-6 which has more than enough side support. It’s a model which can be used in any situation and getting popular with many kinds of customers.
In September 2009, with our 4th year anniversary we will start selling the RECARO SR-7 ASM LIMITED. The SR-7 has more than enough support but after using it for few thousand km on our cars, I felt that if there was a bit more shoulder support, I would be able to drive more relaxed. With this in mind, based on the SR-7 SK100, with the non-slip support on the shoulder, red doubled stitch and the silver RECARO logo will be added.
Until September 5th, and limited pcs of 90. We are started taking reservation with the SR-7 ASM LIMITED.
